Since there are only so many ways in which I can say “time machine” and “a long time ago” I’m going to go with something different this..time.

The optimal time to work on collecting cards is…wait for it…yeah, I’ve got nothing. Fantasize about them at the office, win Sunday auctions, I guess.

It would be funny to see a spending breakdown by location. Such as $200 in the grocery store, $1,000 while on the company toilet

5 years ago on the O’Hare runway taking off, bought a $500 binder on ebay and the purchase went through seconds before losing service. Needed a couple of the cards that alone made up the entire value. The rest was all for trades

The best time to work on collecting cards was 10 years ago.

I must admit, with a mindset change, I have been enjoying it quite a bit lately. Going for the chinese umbreon set (is what I call it) in all pokeball rarities is fun and affordable.

I enjoy collecting in the quiet of the night. There is something very peaceful about scrolling through auctions, filling out excel tables, discovering new cards, setting new goals, writing posts on e4, etc. Setting time aside each day to enjoy my hobbies helps to keep me sane when life is busy!
