My initial thought was Dark Charizard as it’s the chase card for many and I do look at that card a lot. But this one means more, the rumour going around that there was a secret rare and eventually seeing it even though it was a scrunched up copy (yeah most kids were over pokemon cards when Rocket set came out) swung it for me.
GOTTA Mew will always be my personal favorite and still affordable raw overseas. Mew promo #8 was my favorite as a kid considering I didn’t have the holo version.
While I don’t have any particular love for the Ekans line, holo Dark Arbok has had a grip on me, heart and soul, since I was a kid. And I love that it’s not even the shiny coloration of Arbok! This is just a brand new one that afaik was only ever used in this art.
This card hits me with so much nostalgia. I remember buying the game and being so excited to have this card. The Persian from Nintendo Power is a close second
Restart from zero and i would seek out the base zard as that was the card that started it all for me and many others
unfortunately i never pulled it as a child and nobody was willing to trade theirs. So as an adult, its a must have. If i was only allowed to have 1 card it would definitely be the base zard
