The Question of the Day is a way to facilitate community discussion to help members ponder the unanswered questions of the world that are somehow relating to the hobby. Questions are many times open ended and up to interpretation. Feel free to post your thoughts in as much or as little detail as you’d like.
Helpful Considerations may or may not help some people focus their answer, these are blurred to not bother those who have their own ideas.
Today’s Question: QotD: If all PSA/CGC 10s were erased from existence, how would you and the market respond?
Helpful Considerations: Would 9s become the new 10s? Would grading as a whole have less of a premium? This also includes lesser grading company 10s (BGS, TAG, SGC, ARS, KSA). This is a suggested question.
9s would be the new 10, edge whitening would disappear and the collectors would double down and pay more for new 10 standard than they did the old one.
I wouldn’t even know honestly ‘cause I don’t collect graded cards. I’d imagine the current owners of anything with psa10 would prob be so upset *****I guess
Does this mean like I would wake up one morning and my 10s have become 9s? Or you mean that my 10s would just disappear completely? Or that 10s would no longer be available to purchase/achievable on a grade from now on?
