I read a great Scifi series called Hyperion where the use of AI and tech was so effecient that people could literally walk through doors to other worlds and people were innately connected to the world web.
Let’s just say that in a moment where the plug gets pulled, people don’t know jack all because they treated their minds as a referential system instead of a knowledge seek-thought-reflection system.
That side thought aside…
The way I see it, it won’t take long for AI to dominate investing due to convenience, effeciency, and pattern recognition. But the people who have real world knowledge and know how to research will be able to utilize those tools more effectively. We’ll have to see if convenience trumps effort though which I think is a realistic challenge. There’s definitely some kind of threshhold for how much money you can make versus how much effort you have to put in to do so - i.e. see idiot Billionaires. You can make a whole lot of mistakes and still make it on top. But this shouldn’t be construed as a positive.
