Probstein Leaving eBay to Create New Auction Platform

I would not touch this website/platform with a 10 foot pole until they address some very real concerns with the website infrastructure, data privacy, and security.

yh fml, im sending him a email asking for my items to not be relisted and just be sent over to zandgemporium with my name inside

Yeah thats fair enough, I understand the risk but as a Australian consigner probsten was my only option. I didnt want things to go wrong, yet this was definetly likely : (

I’m doubtful he’ll send business to a competing consignor. Let us know how it goes

They are so incompetent they hid the website behind a div you can simply remove.

The entire platform is a joke. It was made with AI. You’ve apparently looked at the HTML source, so you likely see the comments in there that appear to be an AI model explaining how to do things to a clueless developer.

FYI to everyone:

Auctions are still running even though the site is supposed to be down. Snype is still declaring winners and still automatically processing payments if you win.

I just “won” two cards and my credit card was charged. Because of bids/snipes I placed days ago.

I just locked my card. Just a suggestion to others with active bids you might want to do the same, otherwise you’re going to have to ask for a refund once the cards get relisted.

I am an Australian consigner and I have access to several other auction platforms. Why was Snype your only option?

Guess I “won” something too

I didn’t “win” any of my chickens

If probstein ends up back on eBay, it proves without a doubt PWCC was removed as a competitor.

Also probstein really stepped out on his 20 year eBay marriage to have a week long bender.

And after 20 years of being called a shiller, he went for the “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”.

that could explain the non sensical prices , pokemon release after release , that has fuelled this tcg bubble , in a greedy and uncontrollable manner for the past 2 years. I do hope it is a wake up call for buyers. And hopefully slowing down all the shady business using pokemon as a washing machine.

Probstein is back on eBay. Interesting that he resumes business so quickly after the backend vulnerability and shill-bidding scandal.
