The worst part is thereās no rhyme or reason behind what is a āsuper bydderā exclusive. Thereās some high-end slabs sure, but then thereās also random $30 modern sealed and funko pops thrown in.
If this was their attempt at trying to have their own version of Fanaticsā premium auctions, then they failed the assignment miserably.

Yes, and if I was the owner of one of those āsuper bydder exclusiveā items I would be pretty annoyed. Because the buyer pool is artificially smaller and thereās no benefit to the owner. Only a higher risk that it sells below market price. Especially in the very first auction blockā¦

Call it snype if you want, though generally I would guess that most people hate snipers on auctions (unless you are the one doing it of course). Be like calling a house buying service Gazumpying in the UK.
But donāt replace i for y for every term going. Itās so ugly, cringey and off putting.

Yeah this is a joke man Iām really upset they were all saying this is gonna be some great Newā shiny thing hah this stuff isnt junk either mid-higher end books and cards niche but none the less not junk ya Iām gonna ask to cancel which Iāve never done Fanatics is a better choice or eBay for niche books / etc Bandai cards.
These are some of the niche items I have listed with barely any bids ā¦. pretty upsetting.

I think the first auctions end tomorrow night.
Looking at the Pokemon items ending the soonest Iām seeing pretty decent bids. But most of those are ultramodern sealed.
I have one item listed thatās still sitting at $12 with only a few days left, but itās worth $2000+. Guess weāll see what happens.

I agree, most the bids I saw looked fine. But when it ends we can get a better feel. I hope sealed does well because he is one of the only options that accepts sealed consignments.

Iām in a similar situation with less valuable items hundreds of dollars not thousands but still a good amount of money invested.

Does this mean that your snipe bid is lower than someone elseās snipe bid?
I just did a test on an item:
- Publicly highest bid: $150
- My snipe from several days ago: $1000
- Red message: āYou have been outbydā (but I never placed a bidā¦ only a snipe)
- Just now: I placed a bid for $800
- Publicly highest bid: $160
- Green message: āYou are the highest bydderā
If Snype was actually revealing that Iām out-sniped, then I should still have the red message. It should have never turned green.
So now Iām thinking maybe the red message shown in this instance is a bug. It might get triggered even when your snipe is still the highest one, but your bid is not highest.

Wait, so you can ābidā and have it display publicly but you can also āsnypeā and place a hidden snipe bid? If so, why would anyone ever bid publicly?

i never understood why people bid days before auction ends anyways, just drives up the price before hand. ive won items more times for cheap by placing in my bid in the last few seconds or if im unavailable, last hours. when i was new i used to bid up items before hand but never found it worthwhile. snype bids are only bids worth doing

Removes emotion from the bidding process.
Iād much rather have a max price I know im happy to pay, leave a bid there and if i win i win. I donāt want to have to stay up until 3am to win x item and spend the hours beforehand thinking about it.
