Pokemon's damaged card replacement

Does anyone have experience with replacing a card that was misprinted/damaged in production?

I just got the green light to send my card in but the support worker I was talking to also said that “If we do not have that particular cards we will replace it with one of the same type and rarity from another expansion.”

I am really worried that they are just going to choose out a random trashy full art trainer for me.

Does anyone know if I will have any say in the card they choose?

What? You can send them a damaged card and they will ship you another one? Weird policy, how do you prove if the card was not damaged post production? Where did you find this?
First time I am hearing about this, so I cant answer your question.

Yeah, you go to there support page, make a ticket for “Card replacement” and send them photos of your card. It is generally pretty easy to discern if the damage was pre or post production and if you can make a solid case for your card they will send you a replacement. You need your receipt, the original package + the other cards that came in it, and the damaged card. Really bad centering/bad cuts are accepted, print malfunctions are accepted, and, in my case, a dent that looks extremely even and clean-- almost factory pressed-- is accepted. It also helped my case that I sent in my ticket a day after purchasing the pack.
