Haha we will see I guess!
Haha I definitely won’t be.
But please feel free to update this thread to track prices over the coming years. I would be curious to see who is right.
Relax pal it’s just an opinion ![]()
As for the “more dramatic” test prints, are you referring to the disco holo? Just curious
Ah, thanks!
No offense, but none of those stick out to me more than a white boarder. Just sayin’ ![]()
Those are very cool though, diggin the double prints.
That Cloddish is so cool! The art seems to fit into an awesome coherent/cohesive hybrid.
Yea atleast it wouldnt look like a 2year old cut it
One day I will find one of these in my budget

Anyone know what the clefable went for?
I picked up a relatively decently cut 5 in the first round for about $300. Would have preferred the 8 at $388 though lol
I know a lot of people here hate on these but I think for $300 vs getting some modern PSA 10 at pop 10,000 or even a vintage set card that’s available daily…I know what I’m taking every time.
That being said, I don’t really care if they end up being a good “investment” or not, just happy to have something cool
Oh interesting thank you!
I don’t think you overpaid as it’s clear plenty of people find them cool.
I personally wouldn’t pay that for them for reasons given above
I have a feeling if word gets out that these test prints sold for a good amount there will be people trying to whiten the borders and testing it on other cards making them virtually the same as buying a base set copy. I have a pretty strong feeling that most people bought them for speculation of profit and others may have wanted specific ones for their collection, but the price is difficult to justify for so many questions surrouding them still. Theyre a nice piece of history though, and im sure species collectors would go crazy to have one. I feel CGC is a little too lenient on what they grade though. The cuts are pretty bad too for a squa-…trapezoid cut.
Still one left if anyone is interested.
If they sell, then yes. lol

Probstein listed a Vaporeon and a Jolteon both graded at 5. Not sure if that’s new “stock” or if it’s previously listed cards that winners didn’t pay on. Either way, the eeveelutionist that missed out have another opportunity.
Something interesting here to note. The recently listed Jolteon can be photo matched with the sheet image below. The sheet is dated 8-9-99 at the bottom. Some were speculating that these cards were a (pre 1st edition) prototype test. That’s looking unlikely since jungle came out in June of ‘99, around 2 months earlier. So I’m not sure why CGC gave them a 1998 dating on their labels.
