You’re welcome ! Happy I can help
I need to update the website soon with more sets (and currently trying to translate it into French), but lacking the time unfortunately.
I will check the information I have on my sealed packs for the years but basically it’s one set per generation, so 5 sets. 1 booster pack artwork per set and one lottery pack per set.
The popular Pokémon and stage 2 Pokémon mostly are holographic
Thank you very much, I appreciate, that you are so open to share your knowledge here. I’m really eager to see your updates to your website. You helped me alot.
Today I want to make some room for my second most loved little guy, Dragalge. If you actually know the German word for the animal this Pokémon is based on (which seems unlikely if you don’t speak German), it doesn’t quite sound so nice though: it’s der FETZENFISCH (literally translates to: “a fish that looks like it was torn apart”). The word sounds more like a horror movie from the 90s. But I digress …
I really DO love this card and would be really happy to one day find a pristine version of it (is there one in Japanese too?). But as with most things, they get even more interesting, when they are not perfect. And so I hold this card near and dear to my heart.

Very nice start to this collection. Yes there is also a Japanese equivalent which is a Japanese Gym promo 288/XY-P
Cheers!
Thanks for the information, was this also given out to Staff?
Gym promo packs In Japan are fairly common promos which were given out for participating in gym tournaments held is various official locations in Japan. I am fairly certain that this should be the only version and I don’t think there is a staff version of this card. I do not know if these distinctions were made in Japan between staff and participant cards.
Cheers!
One of the coolest cards with an unique art style has to be the Tatsugiri fullart. I celebrate this card with its screaming pop art charme. Perfectly executed and spot on.
I loved and still love it, that Pokémon decided to dedicate so much room to their full art masterpieces. It would be cool, if the Art Rares would be available without text and design elements as posters somehow.

After reading through @joponnes thread highlighting beautiful artwork featured on sleeves (https://www.elitefourum.com/t/sleeves-are-an-overlooked-form-of-pokemon-merch/), I want to take the opportunity to post Starmie’s sleeves for today.
The picture is perfect in catching the hot summer sun with very smooth textures and a relaxed atmosphere. I love the artwork.
Btw: A wave that high, like it is seen in the background, would totally wash Misty away in the next seconds.

Nice tsunami sleeves any others with starmie on them? Some pokemon don’t get that much sleeve love but since starmie is very much connected misty i would imagine there’s some other artworks too for it
Oh yes, there are at least two from 2019 which are still in the mail. As soon as they arrive I will post them here too. Very excited for them!
I really did not go into greater detail than that — but I sure will at some point.
Sadly I haven’t found a way to grade coins from where I live. — Since my childhood I had an odd fascination for coins and pogs, but never really collected them. So, I’m really happy to have this 1996 1st Ed. Hanada City Gym coin as well as the 2000 Cosmos Holofoil paper coin that came with the Misty Gym Hero Theme Deck. I will be adding the Starlight Holofoil variant in the future though. (Hopefully, I don’t confuse them both.)
Best,
Sebastian
Wow, the Hanada City coin looks superb. I like that the Starmie is etched so well and it goes so well with Misty’s theme. Also with regards to not being able to grade these coins maybe you can use this or other similar method used by Stagecoach who is also a coin enthusiast and collector.
Cheers!
Thank you. That storage box you linked is a fantastic solution and looks really great overall. I will look into this, altough I have not nearly enough coins.
Sadly the 1998 coin isn’t as minty as it looks in the picture. Nevertheless, ultimately I will find a way to get them graded over the next years.
Sadly the foiling can’t be seen in full. It’s beautiful, and looks very nice, but it gives the card a cold feel. It’s hard to describe, but I always thought, the artwork looks a bit sterile. Shiny Starmie floating underwater would have looked way cooler, but maybe next time. Still really like the cards.

I love the pastel colors of this card and the cool scene. It’s from the Sealdass Fancy Graffiti Part 2 series. Sadly I could not find any info about this set, also no complete gallery. Could anyone help, please?
Btw: I had Doughnuts from Doughnut Time today — dude, what a treat that was. As sweet as the card for sure. – Picture of included below, naturally.

I absolutely love the Sealdass Fancy Graffiti series. They have some really cute artworks. There were 2 sets of 12 cards released. Part 1 was released in 1998 and part 2 the following year.
You can find the complete gallery via this blogpost from Japan.
Thanks for sharing the lovely update.
Cheers!
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for. The artworks are absolutely stunning. It’s great to know that there are a connected Lapras and a connected Squirtle artwork to my card. I’ll definitely keep an eye on both in the future – it would be amazing to reunite the three cards.
May I ask if you speak or read Japanese, or if you happend to know the link just so? I often get frustrated because I don’t have access to original Japanese sources. Unfortunately, I won’t have time to start learning it in the near future.
Without the fantastic sources here on e4, I’d probably be completely lost.
I collect Japanese promos and really like the release history so like to read up a lot on how they were released and the stories on how people got them etc. Japanese collectors have done a great job in documenting several aspects of promo distributions via personal blogs. So I have a lot of them bookmarked, even for other Japanese non promo cards which I personally like.
Cheers!
I’m terribly behind new posts on E4 but i’m trying to catch up. I’m extremely fond of the old japanese niche sets like this and the sealdass stitch touch set. Especially cool that this one can be united with other cards! The art style also is wonderful
I’m very happy I found these “Funky Chunky Fridge Magnets” or “Master Magnets”. It’s great that Charizard comes together with Starmie. I don’t know why, but there’s something very satisfying about these chunky magnets. They were produced in 1999 in Canada by Polar Magnetics Inc. and somehow made their way to stores in Germany. I hope they like their new acrylic home, which arrived just today.
