Step 1. Contact the seller. First ask if they were the original one who graded the pack and see where you can go from there. Who knows they might be the exception and work with you.
Step 2. Contact psa and let them know that a pack they graded was tampered with and it slipped through their system. Let them know that you have 100 % non stop recording of you cracking the case and opening the pack all on camera to confirm your suspension.
Step 3. Dont do step 2 until the big timers, Scott, Gary, Gemmintpokemon and whoever else throws their 2 cents in.
Also, did the pack open smoothly like a normal pokemon pack? Or was it obviously gluded and re sealed.
Also, you should think about uploading the video to show other people what to watch out for. For science n stuff
Omg that is the most disappointing thing I could imagine! Thank god you did it on camera. I’m not that experienced but one of the other people you have tagged will def be able to point you in the right direction. So sorry again mate I really feel for you
I’ve always wondered about these graded packs. Feels like its super easy to pull one over on someone since PSA doesn’t probably get enough to fully grade them well enough and most people will leave them in their graded case.
Also that is awful, hopefully you can somehow figure out how to get something back.
If that’s the case, I’m not sure there’s much you can do. It’s a legit 1st ed pack. The seller might feel bad for you and compensate but I don’t think PSA would care much. They did their job as far as grading the actual pack not its contents.
Actually, this thing must have came from an unlimited box. So someone passed this as legit 1st ed along the way, but 18 years later try to find who.
It is not an error pack- the pack was resealed. I will post up some more pictures later. Also, on camera, I showed that the Electabuss is worn. It has wear from play, and there is even a crease.
Yeah it seemed quite odd when you said the Electabuzz was creased. You’d think they would put legit cards in there. It’ s not like they’re super expensive.
Believe there are packs known for being “1st Edition”
But they have base set cards in them. That’s why Triangle Erorr packs exist, guessing a few slipped by without the Triangle added to them.
It’s not unlikely that eBay will refund you through the moneyback guarantee when they see ther provided the video. If not them then talking with PSA would be the next route to take.
The seller was most likely the one who had it graded. He/she listed the complete order of serial numbers 26492292 through 26492308:
It was definitely resealed. The 1st edition “triangle” error packs you’re referring to were produced in mid-late 99 while manufacturing the foreign base set 1st edition cards. This was well after 1st ed. shadowless base packs had stopped printing
Wow … that really sucks Hopefully you can get some sort of resolution. Graded packs always seem to me to be the dodgy ones, the people that send them in probably think that it’s unlikely people would crack the case to open the pack.
Yes, but they were still printing English base set. It’s possible a few packs made it through before they put the triangles on them. I linked to a post which confirms this.
Maybe someone on here who has opened 100s of unlimited base boxes can verify this info?
OP says it’s resealed so I’ll take his word for it. Something must have felt off when he opened the pack. Lets just wait and see how everything unfolds.
You’re not quite following what I’m saying. The design of the 1st ed. shadowless base pack is noticably different from the late 99 triangle error pack where the 1st edition stamp was placed in error. Design elements like the “trading card game” logo are present only on the top of the pack on triangle error packs. The OP’s pack is a shadowless 1st ed. base pack. It is not possible that Unlim. cards were slipped into 1st ed. Shadowless packs. They were two different time periods.
