Here is the first set Oddish was released in, Jungle, in Japan 1997 and in the United States and other countries 1999. I have every edition in every language right now minus 1st edition Portuguese (about to purchase) and Japanese. Japanese is the only card that never had a first edition stamp and only the rarity symbol. Jungle was released with 1st edition and unlimited in English, German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. This is the only set Oddish is featured in Dutch, because after Fossil no other Dutch sets were ever designed.
After Jungle, Oddish was in the Team Rocket set from 2000! It features a lovely frog, and some other cards featured real animals on them in very early sets.
Here is the start of my Erika’s oddishes. Here’s some from the first 3 different Erika’s cards, 2 part of Gym Heroes and 1 in the Gym Challenge set. These came in 1st and unlimited editions.
Oddish then appears in Neo Genesis with a very strange foot drawing, but it’s cute. This is the last set that features Oddish with 1st and unlimited editions before it turns into common and holos.
Next comes Expedition Oddish on the left page where he is about to crush your face hardcore. Aquapolis is on the right. Both Expedition and Aquapolis are E-Readee sets, which were used with a device sold for Gameboy advance. Pokemon ruby/sapphire featured these and they unlocked exclusive content, and if anyone has info about what the oddishes unlocked then please inform us!
The holos of these versions run very expensive currently compared to other holo Oddishes. I still have not made the purchase of a holo Aquapolis until I find an awesome deal (lol)
Next Oddish is featured in EX Hidden Legends. Between the Aquapolis release and this card, Oddish was featured in the Japanese exclusive set at McDonalds and I have a copy on this post you can check out. The clay artwork by Yuka Morii is super cool and a lot of people enjoy and collect his creations.
After this set comes EX unseen forces but I haven’t bought any yet so we will skip to the weirdest classification of Oddish (water) in the next set, EX Holon Phantoms, whoever decided to make Oddish water is this made a very …. different choice. It will be the only time Oddish will be a water type.
Ledgends awakened appears with Oddish after this but since I haven’t got any, we’ll go on. Next is Undaunted. This is my personal least favorite artwork. But hey, whatever.
Oddish then is snoozing(which he should be it’s daytime!) in the Boundaries Crossed set. He looks cozy.
2017 brings us Burning Shadows Oddish, where I would imagine the sun in this is nice and shiny. Wooo!
We now have Unbroken Bonds and Oddish has two different cards, but right now I just have 5/214. The other is the yarn Oddish.
And here is cosmic eclipse Oddish. (Holo!) The leaf print is so cool. This is the oddish I want to come to a party because he looks like he’s full of life.
After that Oddish is looking at a baby Oddish. Yes, BABY ODDISH I LOVE YOU! This is from Lost Origin and it is one of my absolute fav artworks on here, because who doesn’t love a baby grass pokemon!?
2023 is when Oddish makes an appearance in Crown Zenith where I appreciate that they are keeping Oddish true to what the Pokédex says and having him run around at night. Because TECHNICALLY Oddish is underground sleeping when there is sunlight…. so some card art is VERY questionable lol
2023 is now scarlet/violet and Oddish makes an appearance in Obsidian Flames kind of riding the wind. On the right page, Oddish is in 151 and is sitting in a flower pot chillin’, waiting for whatever to happen. This is one of the first cards I received, given to me by my son and is what made me kind of decide to start my entire species collection of Oddishes.
And here is Oddish looking kind of scared in a city. I think he needs to go back to the country and be near the plants, trees, and other grass pokémon.
Now is the last set page of Erika’s Oddish cards, which were just released this year in Ascended Heros. Oddish comes in 2 different holo versions in English, the pokéball and leaf energy, but with Japanese it has no holo!
Here is my first random page of promos and fun cards in various languages. The top left features a common Russian Oddish. The bottom left is a McDonald’s card exclusive to Japan, released in 2002. My card came directly from Japan, as I love to try to get cards from their country of origin, tariffs be damned. The bottom right card is the Cosmos Holo Oddish, one of my favorite promos.
Here are my glooms. I count them as my Oddish collection because it’s an evolution. The Dutch Gloom on the top right corner was part of a bundle from an awesome eBay seller that helped hunt down my 1st edition Dutch Oddish.
I don’t really collect cameos and not a huge graded card person, but my son discovered this at a local card shop so I bought it.
This is a non-tcg card, not quite sure the year and series but I’ll research it later. It was given as a gift.
