Bitcoin climbing after ETFâs are now approved.
Since there seems to be a slight link between collectables and crypto, perhaps small uptick is expected now?

To me, itâs as good as JPG.
The sentiment and statement are largely true, however there are some with great utility. For instance, one of the best night clubs/strip clubs in Miami sold nfts that allowed you to skip the line, bring guests, enter for free (guests still would have to pay), and get first dibs to events with special guests (musicians, djs, artists etc). Its tripled in value and itâs just an all around great grab. Same things exist for exclusive entry to restaurants and venues. The NFT space is just the wild west full of a ton of trash and cash grabs but I think eventually theyâll sort out finding a way to demonstrate evergreen, prolonged value instead of claiming something is âartâ before rug pulling. I was fortunate enough to never lose any money in the space and a few of us on E4 were recently airdropped some nice rewards for early adaption. I literally woke up one morning last month and was airdropped enough to buy a new 16 inch macbook pro. Really needed that sucker for work and was a pleasant surprise! Anyway back to pokemon and this shitcoin of a tcg mlm.

I really donât want to make this thread about NFTs so maybe we can discuss this elsewhere but NFTs are just an implementation of a system. If you can replicate the system without an NFT (ie. just have a membership card) then the use of NFTs is just superfluous.

Iâm with you my friend, this isnât the NFT thread and the context in more generalized terms fits the topic here. Youâre right though, if you can replicate the system you can call it whatever you want - point is that itâs convenient to have a bunch of diff âmembershipsâ consolidated to one digital wallet if you will. It would be great if all the OnlyFans girls started selling NFTâs and maybe even SMPratte. Get that EXCLUSIVE content if youâre an early adapter/supporter and you donât have to subscribe to yet another one of many dozens of platforms like patreon.
Thatâs also not something that needs to be an NFT.

I tried to not bother responding to the two guys above, but if youâre gonna move this thread you shouldnât leave the goofy comment that âevery single nft is a scamâ as part of the metazoo discussion.
It combines a statement that could potentially be true, with a statement that is absurdly false, before making a funny, fairly accurate statement about metazoo. The format is a tough read.

The penguins which I bought for roughly $6,000 (total) in this thread are now worth a floor of $3.5m (realistically a decent amount more because of the rarity of some of them).
Like most things (and like I tried to mention many times in this thread) not everything will work out and many things will go to 0 but the asymmetry in the space is very hard to beat. Extreme degrees of convexity.

I bought the first ~50 941 days ago (Aug-05-2021 05:02:36 AM +UTC) for roughly $6k and then sold 1 of them (golden egg one) for $175k or so (935 days ago (Aug-11-2021 11:33:14 PM +UTC) + another 5-10 or so at $1500 - $20k (madness to think about the speed of this first part)
Then 454 days ago (Dec-05-2022 05:36:47 PM +UTC) I bought another ~50 or so for like you said about $250k.
I still have almost all of the remaining from both the original purchase + the second purchase. Both were within the duration of this thread

Updating here (sorry to see this thread has died) â
These are now worth roughly ~$10.5m and the current (secondary market) projected value of the penguin token they are launching will have them airdropped roughly $10.5m more as well.
I assume the fact Iâm back here to post an update means itâs time for a top to be in but wanted to check back in one more time
