Congrats! What all did you win?
They have native English customer support and treated me professionally in the past. Seeing that you’ve spent 30k, hopefully they will give you the VIP treatment, let us know how it goes.

I consider Japan/Korea/China safe zones when it comes to package logistics and handling so I never insure anything there
I keep everything in vault at Cardova until there is a big enough amount of slabs then I send it to Blackship. Consolidate everything and declare gift value to avoid VAT which is huge at 20%.
Honestly under 6 figure I wouldn’t bother insuring
And even above that it will only attract thieves to steal your package. I just accept that there is risk involved when dealing with cards overseas.
Also I’ve found the international bank transfer was very not practical for me and there was still a lot of fees, so I just pay the credit card 3% it’s much faster
Also declare 1$ for each slab when shipping from Cardova to Blackship ( there is very little risk)
You will lose so much if you try to insure and declare every package at that point it’s not interesting anymore to order from Japan you’re losing every arbitrage opportunity
To give you an example I just bought a second chinese mew and the shipping cost is like 3$ (for 40k card) and they don’t ever bother with insured shipping that’s how safe it is in China.
I am going to send it to vault to then send it to BlackShip. I am still trying to figure out how it works. Would it be possible to send you a DM with questions regarding BlackShip?
Yes i figured that shipping within japan is safe so i wont bother too much when it comes to insurance and whatnot. When i send it to BlackShip i am not sure if i will declare it a 1$ package or gift but for sure i will make sure its on the lower end like maybe 500 or 1000. I don’t want for US customs to open the package and then ask me question regarding the content. Or do you recommend gift for this kind of value? I am guessing Pokemon is more popular than before and people might know what it is but not the actual value of the slabs when it comes to regular people that work at Customs.
As for fees for bank transfer there will be little to none since they have a US branch so it would be a bank transfer between banks that are in the US. Much lower than 3% a card would charge. Also for the the amount i was getting charged for duties and shipping i would rather buy my younger brother a ticket to Japan and for him to enjoy some time there while picking my slabs LOL.
Yes Customer service did respond to me but they are limited on what they can do for me. The shipping method can’t be changed and 1k is the cap. Decided to just use a forwarding service since 1k insurance is laughable and i don’t want to give FedEx a 20% deposit on top of everything.
As for what i got i will post it in “What’s you must recent purchase?”
I will say i got the card that started this proxy journey. Nothing special but i think i had to get it to close this chapter. Since i don’t plan to make any major purchases after this for the remainder of this year. I will try and trade and put cash on top for stuff i want going forward.
