I recently completed my previous mission of trying to find a Poke Dude in a good grade for a fair price. Now, I think my next mission is going to be to track down and purchase a PSA 10 Imakuni? Glossy promo.
Just wanted to see if anyone in here knew of the whereabouts of any of the 6 pop (according to PSA) or of an expected price range for finding this kind of card.
All of CoroCoro promos are tough to grade, Imakuni being one of the worst. Its always been a tough grade. Pricing one is basically impossible. I don’t remember when the last copy sold.
PSA Set : POKEMON JAPANESE COROCORO COMICS PROMOS (1996-2001)
I post about the PSA Set Registry often as it’s an overlooked tool. You can use this to dig around and find any public sets that collectors have shared to find out who owns what. You may have some luck.
As an example, the top two current finest sets from Dam and Ed have a PSA 10 Imakuni listed in their sets. Although, I have a strong suspicion that they won’t sell easily to break their set. So that would bring your search down from 6 to 4.
Good luck though, maybe contact owners and chance your luck.
I think pricing is very difficult as the early coros are so niche.
I’ve sold a few low pop Corocoros in the last couple of years, I would guess anywhere in the $2000 - $5000 range.
Good luck!
Yeah, seeing all that information about the Non-glossy is what made me interested in getting a 10 in the glossy variant. (as the non glossy is way out of my budget lol)
That seems like a good valuation, I am going to Japan in January and I might have to try to pick up some raw copies if I can find any… might be a card I try and grade myself and end up buying like all the raw copies on the market lol.
I picked one up in the $4k range last year. Certainly tough card to find. Went years without seeing one and when one popped up it sold before I could close the deal. The one I have was from a great friend who was kind enough to reach out.
I’m 3 cards away from the CoroCoro 10 set, Mewtwo, 96 Pika and Jiggly. I’d love to find those cards someday. Even when the chances seem slim, the hobby has a way of surprising you. Keep your hopes up. You’ll find one with enough determination!
Which was the result of buying a copy sealed in a magazine and peeling it myself. I do not recommend this as the peel can actually tear off the cards surface
