Legos, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda and RuneScape genuinely developed my patience, reading and thinking skills. Pre-grand exchange RuneScape had people typing like madmen in 6th grade lol

I thought of another one…maybe not “embarrassing” but pretty stupid in hindsight.
I bought Sapphire when it was first released back in the day and I don’t know if you all remember but there is a Sharpedo in the intro battle that uses a weird attack (firing a cloud of black stuff). So I ended up training a Sharpedo up to around Lv80, convinced that it would learn this “signature attack” from the game’s intro
