Moderately Played?

Hello,

I bought a couple shadowless charizards that show as moderately played and while they were pretty played, I saw no creases and pulled the trigger. I got the cards and they have a ton of creases on the cards. I messaged the seller for a refund and he basically said “I said moderately played which means it can have creases and I said no refunds on the ad so sorry no refunds.” Is that true that if a listing says MP that creases are acceptable? Maybe I am too cautious when I post my listings but if there is any crease or dent whatsoever I list it as “damaged” and be sure to take close up photos of the damage. Am I wrong that MP means creases?

Although he did say mod played, based on his reply…it sounds liek he knew what he was doing with regards to deceiving slightly. Ask for better pics next time and if there are any creases etc…this way you can know in advance/have some back up for a claim if they lie/deceive.

Buying lp pl mod pl and hpl will always be tricky and personally would steer clear …unless it is a very desirable card graded low.

Thats the gamble for these kinds of things you win a few, lose the rest

Yeah, to me MP will have slight creases on it. I recently bought a few P/MP base set Zards just to have and they all came with there fair amount of creases. Of course sometimes you get lucky and the creases will not be that noticeable but i would always be cautious and expect some creases when ordering cards describes as MP.
