Looks pretty nice to me. I say buy it.
Yeah this is why I mainly will buy PSA 8s, particularly for WOTC era holos. I would say especially for Neo era sets since those almost always will have print lines whether it’s an 8 or 9. A 9 saying ‘mint’ on the label is more satisfying overall of course, but an 8 can still be really nice and not much worse than some 9s out there. In addition, I’ve seen quite a few 8s become 9s and vice-versa in re-grade attempts, much more so than 9s becoming 10s.
For certain cards though a 9 can still be a tremendous value compared to a 10, so I can definitely understand why a PSA 9 is still very desirable to a lot of collectors as well if they’re trying to build what is considered a ‘mint’ set.
Can’t agree more with you, being honest the point of paying for the 9 is to see that “MINT” label lot of times, it is important to mention that what a grader consider a deffect that downgrade 1 point the grade other would say it deserves -2 points, and maybe the same grader in 2 different moments.
Comin back to the topic yeah i think that last psao copy is a solid one!
Thanks for all the advice and your opinions , I do actually like this new recent copy so have already decided to acquire it
Now I have the itch to get the other 2 starters in a 9 but I have seen some where that silvering on base is a thing but not really looked at by psa ?
Can anyone confirm that base shadowless has silvering or is this with most wotc holos and if psa actually doesn’t care much for it as it’s hard to see silvering on there site with the scans psa has
Silvering is less of an issue on Base compared to Fossil or Jungle holos, at least in my experience. But, some of them will have it at times. PSA factors it in for grading the edges of the card usually, and so it can be a factor that will prevent PSA 10 at times if it’s bad enough.
