Somebody has to keep some of the fake copies for B-roll shots in the Netflix documentary.
Has Goldin released any correspondence about this? My rep says theyāre waiting to make an annoucement before doing anything.
I havent heard of anything from them either curious as a good chunk of the HQ alpha prototype B&W cards that the others were copied from were sold on goldin
My reimbursement from CGC is still in review with their insurance company. Hopefully they can give me good news today or early next week. I have a HQ Beta card from Fanatics and sent them the auction receipt, so it shouldnāt be different to the other approved reimbursements I see here.
Iām sure they have a lot to get through, but hopefully it becomes more streamlined with their insurance as people provide the required data. I know a number of you were holding off on your submissions until you saw good news.
Iāll post an update if/when Iām reimbursed. Then Iāll have to decide where to put those funds next.
After seeing many people receive confirmation from CGC Insurance that theyāll get a full refund, I felt confident enough to send my card for review two days ago. According to FedEx tracking, it has been delivered, but thereās no update on CGCās site yet.
To better understand the estimated timeline based on othersā experiences, Iāve compiled the following timeline. Big thanks to everyone who has shared their progress with CGC!
Estimated Timeline (each stage counted from the last update):
⢠Parcel Delivery: ~2-3 days
⢠CGC Site Update (Card(s) Received): ~2-3 weeks
⢠CGC Review (Holder Review): ~1-2 weeks
⢠CGC Insurance Update (Refund Confirmation): ~1 week
⢠Full Refund Processed: ~30 days after CGC Insurance Update
That said, individual timelines may vary due to several factors, such as the number of cards, the amount of money involved, the type of prototype, and likely many other variables.
Anyone got any Akabane signed? Iād take 1 I guess, for the sake of bitterness.
Give me just a bit. Iāll print a fresh one for you.
Has anyone received correspondence from CGC since the initial tranche of emails early last week? Still waiting to hear from them
Yes, I got an email this Monday asking for a receipt (Alt never gave me a receipt, so I sent them what I could).
I overnighted my cards and they got there last Wednesday. Status changed to āreceivedā on Friday.
Ah yes, I was specifically wondering if anyone had heard about their insurance claim being accepted. My cards were received by CGC on 2/15. Sending a follow up email to my buddy Matt. If nothing else, he has been very friendly and responsive.
Doesnāt seem like thereās been any second wave of refund emails/comms, and we still donāt really know how many they initiated last week other than a handful of examples in here.
I agree, Matt from their support team has at least been nice, friendly, and sympathetic.
You can email ALT for invoices and they will send you yours.
Was the receipt under āaccount activityā showing purchase of the cards not enough? What email should one reach out to in order to receive a proper invoice?
Their email is somewhere on their website. Itās:
support@alt.xyz
Have people sent screenshots of the invoices or the actual invoices? Iām not in that phase yet but iām trying to get them ready to be sent
I sent the PDF(s)
Figured Iād ask here but given the time frame, I might be wrong, but those disco foils from base set with square cut corners, could have those also been printed in 2024? I feel like I seeing and hearing more about those cards a lot more often. Most copies are also graded with CGC iirc.
they are not fake just from the uncut sheet
