Many of the Pokemon playtest cards were likely printed in 2024

@pfm have you by chance analyzed any of the signature series cards and if not would anyone be able to provide a hq scan for analysis?

If they are LQ betas, I have yet to see one that doesn’t say 2024 in the metadata

There are fakes of pokemon cards but PSA still tests for authenticity and grades those that pass, dont see why this would be different for them. I hope they will still do their due diligence and if rare oddities come up that they will authenticate them according to their standards regardless of other cards.

I think that if you want a refund, you need to mail in the cards to CGC. It hasnt been confirmed, but HA told me its likely i will need to mail the cards back if a refund going to be issued.

Re Akabane’s culpability —

Someone posted pictures of cards where Akabane’s signature is cut off. That implies to me he had to have been signing a sheet of cards that were then cut down to card size afterward. Very unlikely he was signing sheets in 1996. Signing a sheet of playtest cards in 2024 seems pretty damning.
