Quite the annoying situation.
I have a couple of questions, and forgive me if they have already been answered elsewhere.

Other than the Charizard, has there been any other Gamma cards shared with unseen artwork?

Has anyone checked these cards (including Beta) against the old stock photo sets that were used at the time?
I don’t have time at the moment. But I remember looking through many of the stock photos back then when they were being discussed. For example, I took note of the stock photo used for the Charizard CD Promo (and Alpha card) can be seen here. I remember coming across it, I’m not sure if that particular stock image was mentioned anywhere else, although rattledkarp mentioned it shared the same photo as Aron.
It would be interesting if any unseen artworks were found to contain any stock photos from the original source sets used by sugimori.
