TPC’s official channel has been more active with gameplay videos than card reveals in the last 6 months, it’s clear they prioritise more engagement with the tcg. This means most of the chase cards will largely depend on when box breakers go on stream, or on release day
MunixMunikisNihil Nullifying Zero must be the most name changes for a set ever. But these main set reveals are always my favourite day as there’s again a good bunch of sweet illustrations. Spinarak, Talonflame, Dedenne and Haunter are my top picks for this set. Too bad some of the greatest artworks went for somewhat random pokemon like Aromatisse and Barbaracle and i can’t fully love them
Some amazing artwork here.
Incoming giant list of any thoughts or notes I have to say while looking through.
Another great mingo card with that Vivillon, colors are so vibrant and beautiful.
People seem to love Shinji Kanda cards, which is something I haven’t really been able to relate to. I’ve liked a few of his cards but not that many, this Talonflame adds to the list of ones I really like.
I haven’t really loved many Takeshi Nakamura cards, but that Staryu looks really good, very nice atmosphere.
HACCAN is the first new artist of this set and I have to say I am a little disappointed. For someone who has been involved in so many projects with such amazing artwork, this Aurorus just doesn’t feel like any of his previous work. I think it would be great if he was able to do a trainer in the style he is most known for one day.
The Taiga Kasai Luxray is pretty interesting. Definitely not my favorite non-FA of theirs, but I like it.
I know the Clefairy AR is getting everyone’s attention, and I do admit it is gorgeous and I will definitely be picking up a copy, but the common by Natsumi Yoshida also looks really good.
Terada Tera has been on a great run with 3 of their first 4 cards being AR’s. As a result, this new Espurr is at an automatic disadvantage when being stacked up against them, and it probably is my least favorite card of theirs. Though that isn’t to say it is bad, it is still one of the commons I like the most from this set. Great colors.
We now come to Meowstic by Kannu, my favourite debut card of this set. I’ve already been a big fan of their work with Project Voltage, and plenty of their non related Pokemon work as well. This card looks great and I am looking forward to seeing more from them.
Next is the Aromatisse by Mori Yuu, another artist who has done more AR’s then not. I have to disagree with what @joponnes said earlier in the thread, while yes Aromatisse may feel like kind of a random Pokemon, Mori Yuu has been doing what feel like pretty random Pokemon so far, Clawitzer, Clamperl, Dhelmise, and she has been making them look great! Love her style, love this Aromatisse.
I’ve never been a big fan of Nosepass, but this artwork by Jerky looks pretty nice.
Tomoki Sone’s Tyrunt is the next debut card from this set. It’s kind of just whatever to me, don’t hate it, don’t love it.
I don’t really like the Tyrantrum by Dsuke, but there is something about it that makes it really stand out to me in a way I feel compelled to say something.
Not my favorite osare artwork, but their style always pretty charming.
Kedamahadaitai Yawarakai, other than for having one of the hardest to pronounce names, is also notable for their beautiful painterly style. I don’t like this Haunter, but the environment and the sunrise behind it looks very nice.
I’m a big fan of Aya Kusube’s older artworks, but haven’t really liked a lot of her more recent cards. I don’t know what it is about this Skorupi but I really like it.
Satoshi Ito is the final new artist of this set with a Chien-Pao card and it’s alright. I think I Chien-Pao looks dumb, so I’m pretty biased against it’s cards. The style and colours look pretty nice but I can’t bring myself to like it.
I’ve always liked Klefki for some reason, and seeing it in MINAMINAMI Take’s style is very pleasing. Also love the background of this card, feels cozy in a way.
Rosa’s Encouragement is alright, Atsushi Furusawa cards are always nice to look at. Though after spending a few seconds looking at this one, her eyes feel like they are a bit too far apart.
Not going to lie I got really lazy like half way through that so I’m phoning it in even more for the AR’s.
Celfairy as stated earlier is gorgeous. Lovely pastel colors that you can see in some of their other cards like Erika’s Invitation, Bianca’s Devotion, and even the Sylveon ex. It’s amazing.
The Espurr AR seems interesting, but I think I need a better image of it first to fully appreciate it. Pretty cute.
I love Talonflame, but I don’t love this AR. Just nothing about this artwork really speaks to me. If I pull it or find a copy cheap I’ll grab it, but nothing about it compels me to want to go out of my way to get it.

As someone who collects FA Supporters and other FA cards featuring people, I’m just gonna assume those stationary knight armors have people in them just so I can add it to that collection.
Hi @koala I haven’t bought Japanese in a while, so I’m not familiar with the current pull rates. Is this saying that each box will contain 3 AR cards, 1 card from SR #1 and 1 card from SR #2? Is that common knowledge or is there a source for that info? Thanks!
