Hi everyone, this isn’t a post I’d like to be making however, these things happen. Figured I’d just let you know as it’s a niche package incase that 0.01% chance it comes up somewhere.
My Buyee package # *** was reported lost. The shipping tracking # ***.
Date shipped was 27-02-2024 by DHL Express.
TL:DR :
DHL Express picked up a package in Japan.
On the next day it arrived in the USA.
On the same day it was marked as delivered to “destination service area. West Philadelphia- Pennsylvania”
The package was meant to be delivered to Delaware.
DHL Express told me it had been delivered to an address 1 street across from the destination, although tracking has no trace of this.
Why deliver it to an address that’s not the correct address?
No photo or signature.
Case closed as lost.
Overall it seems sketchy to me, it’s not the end of the world though but it’s a real shame as it’s a package I was really looking forward to. A few unlimited WCP cards and the unlimited L1 legend cards.
Guess I’ll need to update my buy thread to include these cards again. Awkward.
Bad fortunes my friend, sorry you have to go through it. When the courier company closes it as lost, it means that they won’t be looking for it, yes? But, there is still a possibility that they end up being found somehow down the line, even without active searching?

After the first email correspondence I had with DHL Express they told me a specialist would follow up with me within 2 hours. In that same email they said they would close the file. Literally before they had even done anything.
Of course, after days no one contacted me and I had to hassle them to reply. I basically got the typical, we tried to retrieve the package but it wasn’t there, which I suspect is their typical bs line they say to everyone.
I honestly didn’t expect anything more, it’s just a single package to them unfortunately. Not much else to do than move on and forget about it.
I don’t get it. How can they deliver to an incorrect address. Did they acknowledge the package was supposed to go to Delware? Did they confirm your name was on the address label?
Have you tried filing a charge back on your credit card / PayPal? It’s always lots of risks involved while buying via buyee. I was once got scammed on yahoo auction and lost $1.5k in 2021 and Buyee basically did nothing to the seller except banning them and I failed charging back from my credit card due to some Japanese - English translation issue in the product description; however your case looks different than mine so you should give a try filing a claim against them.
I was once decided never use Buyee again since the scam however they sometimes have very good coupons while buying from macari so I’ve been started using them again… what a shame! As my orders on macari/yahoo auction usually pretty big ($3k+) so it’s always a trade off game between risks and rewards…
Hey, I’m sorry to hear that you had to go through that. There’s a lot of sellers that try it on when a proxy service buys their item it seems. Hopefully going forward and if you’ve been using them now for years you’ve not ran into any more problems.
I never filed for a charge back though as they would normally block your account for doing that and I use the service too often for that hassle.
In a peculiar turn of events, this is also an update as the package arrived to me this morning!
I received a notification that it was at the correct delivery address a few days ago and shipped it back to me. Needless to say all is present and correct so all’s well that ends well. Maybe I shouldn’t have given up hope after all!
