Have fakes gotten too good or is this actually just a real card? Real or fake?
Is this a pop quiz? ![]()
Not really, Genuinely looking for some input from other people that dont look at it like i do
I’m inclined to say its real based on front. Back is only 1 photo but it does seem slightly off. I vote real.
The rosettes look good no? Going back to my previous comment, what seemed off to me were the borders seemed a bit thin.
Bump, is this worth $10?
I feel like if you’re worrying about spending $10 on a pokemon card then you probably shouldn’t be spending money on pokemon cards
Would you hit check out on this card?
If you were looking for it, Why or why not?
I can’t believe the seller provided pictures of the rosette on a $10 card.
Make sure to tip well
Fakes are getting pretty good. Buy with caution everyone.
I think @Nightvulture knows what he is doing haha the guy has equipment no one else has
I was excited to learn something from this post, but now I’m just confused.
Who’s making a fake pinsir these days
I stand buy what I said. Also @banks out here telling him to tip well and you trynna tell me I was being mean? lol you wildin out rn
Sadly i learned that non-holo jungle first editions are being reasonably faked. It could be the next wave of aliexpress stuff.
What i see with this card is a perfect 45° magenta that isnt supposed to be on it and the printer put on the yellow and cyan at almost the same angle. I think thats what makes it look off. Magenta should be +15° from left to right on this card. Buy your first edition jungles with caution.
The holos in that AliExpress listing are obvious fakes, with the flat holo/colors and thinner left/right borders.
The non-holo cards below it on the other hand. ![]()
I assume all the Pinsir pictures are yours and you know it’s fake?
Is it me, or are the black parts of the Grass Energy symbols slightly too large compared to a real copy? I could be imagination things, but that was the first thing that caught my eye when I saw that Pinsir.
Side-by-side of a real (scan from pkmncards.com) vs your posted fake Pinsir:
The higher value Pokémon cards become, the more incentive there is to spend more money on creating better fake cards I’m afraid.
(Although I wasn’t expecting them to come from AliExpress of all places, haha.)
Greetz,
Quuador
