The Question of the Day is a way to facilitate community discussion to help members ponder the unanswered questions of the world that are somehow relating to the hobby. Questions are many times open ended and up to interpretation. Feel free to post your thoughts in as much or as little detail as you’d like.
Helpful Considerations may or may not help some people focus their answer, these are blurred to not bother those who have their own ideas.
Cliché but very honest answer that I think applies to most of us:
NOSTALGIA. Remembering the feeling something brought years ago. Wanting to own that feeling forever; the ability to gaze at something old school and remember how happy it made us before.
I’ve dabbled VERY cheaply in comics at the LCS. One of the ones I (obviously) gravitated to was a MTG x Spiderman crossover set (I believe there are 4)
I said hmm, Magic, a giant IP in Spiderman, looks like a giant card. This is cool.
I’ve been collecting stuff since 4-5 years old, and I will collect stuff until my final breath.
But speaking of Pokémon (TCG cards) in general: as long as I still have fun; can still afford it; and my collection goals aren’t complete yet (which they never will), I’ll continue.
Although I must admit that the E4 and some Discord communities I’m in helps a great deal in keeping the fun into the collecting (which thus far this year, I’ve barely done).
