Totally agree with you on that! I love foreign cards as well and I’d like to get a few others. I also love how the price isn’t too high compared to the rest of the English and Japanese market

Korean BW holos are awesome as they’re cosmo foil pattern. The team plasma holos are patterned on the edges like level Xs.
I have a team plasma Crobat. And sold a team plasma Giratina to someone looking to master set Korean BW holos.

I’m the base set Korean enthusiast here, (self appointed) and I am predicting these cards won’t stay cheap in the long run. I’m after an unlimited Base set korean Charizard.

I’ve not been active for a while, but you’ve brought me back. Are you going to be physically in Korea? If so, this store has a nice selection of cards and packs. A lot of Koreans now grade with BRG, a local grading company, so don’t be surprised at that. Prices are somewhat inflated though. When I lived in Korea for 2 years I bought most of my cards on a local forum, although joining that is much trickier as you need to have a Naver account. It was very sweet though, as I would always pay people I’d never met direclty into their bank accounts. I was never scammed, and it felt really refreshing to see the generally high levels of trust amongst the community. Unfortunately, 99% of these sellers only ship locally. Sorry for the long story!
Korean cards have come a long way in terms of quality, and I would say that modern ones are on par with modern English. They’re a great way of getting rarer arts for a fraction of the price.
If you are not in Korea then I recommend eBay or http://tcgbox.co.kr who I believe might ship internationally. I can’t remember - worth checking out!

Hey @swissorican thanks so much for this! I will just be visiting for a week to see some old friends and attend a wedding in Seoul. I’ve never heard of BRG, but I’ll keep an eye out for that. I’ll also try and take a look online over there. I need to dig up my old email as I still think I have my old Naver and Woori bank account. My Korean is rusty, but I guess I can always ask the other half to help 
I just realised that I never linked the store in Seoul - here you go! They’re friendly in there.
And don’t worry too much about not speaking Korean! I lived there for 2 years and managed to get by all my sales/trades with translator apps. Even in person ones.

So I just got back and unfortunately didnt get much, but I really like the singles that I got. Thanks for recommending that place.
Supposedly the Espeons are only holo in the Korean version, so I’m definitely glad I found them and for a good price. It was literally cheaper than going out for McDonalds back home

Ah ya, it sure is hard to find out in the states (for a reasonable price). Unfortunately the Umbreon one was hard to find there. They said someone else came in not too long ago and bought out all the Umbreons they had
