Had the opportunity today to pick up a good amount of graded Korean Base holos. They are 1st edition and I know that unlimited is much more rare. How does 1st edition Korean Base match up with English Base unlimited? I paid a little more than I would for English Base unlimited 9’s and 10’s. Not really familiar with Korean base at all, just know it would be considered niche.

Poliwrath, Nidoking, and two Hitmonchans in 9s.
I really like them I want to buy more. Thought I should look into them first and find out a little more about them.
I really like both the Korean and Chinese base sets, the text on the cards just adds to their appeal for me. I have complete holo sets in both in 1st edition 
Both are far rarer than English unlimited however as you mentioned it’s a niche market. While Chinese has taken off a bit more recently Korean is still not that popular from what I have seen while following the market. That’s good from a buyer stand point as you can still pick up the graded holo’s at a very reasonable price. If you are looking to buy the cards because you like them and will enjoy them I would say it’s a great set to buy, as far as a investment goes it’s hard to tell it could do a similar thing to the Chinese cards or it may just continue to grow very slowly.
