Ken Sugimori history and life story video

For me personally, regardless of what he himself thinks about his work, I have respect for him as an artist. This respect is based on admiration for his work and dedication to his craft and what he has done for Pokemon.

If I ever get the opportunity to meet him, I will let him know how much I respect his work and enjoy collecting the cards. Maybe he needs to hear it, maybe he does not. My love for the hobby and a particular artist won’t change, unless my values don’t align with the company or the artist in the future.

Cheers!

For me, it has no impact.

It’s the same with Hayao Miyazaki, Kentaro Miura (rip) and several artists who got a pretty negative attitude or strong opinions about their own work or life.

For me it’s about the impact of their work as an artist rather than a person.

there have been countless popular artists, VAs, musicians, and even athletes who have expressed dissatisfaction with their careers

The current best basketball player in the world, Nikola Jokic, has said countless times he doesn’t enjoy playing basketball, and I don’t blame him. Gotta be an exhausting lifestyle

I think this video highlights that no matter what you see from the outside, people have their own dreams, failures, expectations and battles. As sad as this is, it’s a good reminder that we’re all just human.

Great video! A bit unrelated to Pokemon, but did anyone else think that Pulseman was very similar to the Megaman series? I loved that game for the early game boy advance
