Yanaka is one of my favorite areas in Tokyo, the old town vibe is really hard to come by in Japan these days and I think it’s worth spending some time in. If you are into fried foods there’s a sozai stall named Niku no Sato that has a minced meat cutlet that I remember enjoying.
My favorite ramen place of all time after making twice-a-year trips every year for the longest time is still Nakiryu, I really like their tan tan tsukemen if you can be seated early enough to order it before they stop selling it for the day. Last time i was there, you had to queue in the morning for a ticket showing you the time you should come back. Honestly though you almost can’t go wrong with most ramen shops in the city. I would suggest that if you feel like you must have Ichiran that you should at least go to an Ichiran in a less traveled area so that you don’t burn a bunch of time standing in line and you get the benefit of exploring a place you might not have normally tried for (i.e. Shimokitazawa is a few minutes away from Shibuya and I have never seen a line at the Ichiran there).
If you want a unique temple, I can’t say enough nice things about Tamagawa Daishi. You can pay a few hundred yen to take this underground path from inside the temple through a cave that’s been there for hundreds of years lined with budda statues. The path took me ~15 minutes to go through at a leisurely pace and it was really cool.
Other food recs (unsure if it’s too late to book or not): Narikura for pork cutlet, Marumo and/or PST for pizza/pasta, Yamaharu for sushi (standing bar, standouts were the sea urchin and monkfish liver).
Museums that stood out to me: I think Teamlab Planets is the better of the two Teamlab experiences, Fukagawa Edo Museum was fun too.
