A wonderful story and selection of cards. Congratulations on your pickups!

How did you find it? I went myself and lost my nerve when it felt like I was knocking on someone’s home door

I followed Google maps until there was a bit that you couldnt go into, so I asked somebody for directions. It was around the corner, just past a small camera store. The new pin was just written on a sheet of paper around the gate of the elevator.

Great point about the tax free aspect to knock out 10% on the price. Apparently Japan is changing the Tax Free process in November 2026 where you won’t get the Tax Free on checkout, but need to keep your receipts and sort it out at the airport. People should go now to Japan if they can! But the prices are crazy these days…

”Favorite stores: Surugayas, Hareruya 2, Bee, PDG, Girafull, Ninnin, and anything without a chain (owner operators have the best prices and are most flexible).”

Agree with this too! I rated all those shops as “Diamond” gems in my 300+ shop Steals & Deals eBook. However I also had success negotiating in Sunrise, which is also a chain but with very friendly owners. Never hurts to ask as long as you are respectful.
