Are you asking in reference to a personal instagram or one dedicated to Pokemon? Personal I have like 120ish but I don’t have any Pokemon related content on there

My Pokémon one has roughly 1,250 and I’ve had it for roughly a year.

- A couple years. I don’t like some things about the Pokemon instagram community but I do enjoy casually browsing through and enjoying other peoples collections and additions. There is some good people on there
Interesting you ask since I just made an Instagram account for pokemon. I have had it for 13 days and have 53 followers

Let me refer you to the Book of PFM, chapter 12 verse 14:
“Judge not a user by the quantity of their followers, but of the quality of their followed.”

First Instagram post around 2 years ago.
@pokemonargentinatcg: Dedicated mostly to showcasing my collection, barely do any sales. I do my best to take the best pictures i can; i really enjoy sitting up on my man cave, and take good shots of my favorite cards. A couple weeks ago i bought a small photo booth and my pictures improved a ton!
I made a big amount of friends around the world thanks to Instagram, and met most of Argentinian collectors using the platform. Bought a ton using it.

1340 about a year ![]()
I’ve had my “personal” Instagram since 2013 but my Pokemon one… well… I think I started it in 2015. I have over 300 followers which is surprising because I don’t follow back most people that I don’t know from the forum or Discord.
1700+ Pokémon
500 personal
What are all of your tips for starting out to show your collection? Is it important to have a high quality camera? Hashtags? Do you follow lots of people first of just start posting stuff?
3 small Tips from my personal experience:
1. Post once a day, if possible, but only one. If you post many pictures during a short period of time you’re flooding people’s feed and the interest will decay.
2. Post high quality pictures: Its game changer, sit down, relax, and take some cool shots. Enjoy that moment of the day, if you can, grab a photo box from eBay (worth less than U$S10).
3. Use hastags: Pick a selection of around 20 hashtags and use them, save them on a notepad and paste them on your pictures. Replace words according to the picture of the day if needed.
Definitely agree with Argentina. Photo boxes are really cheap and do a relatively good job with side and above angles. Even if you don’t use Instagram, it’s really cool to have for various things.
