MTG doesn’t have a custom of handmade proxies? Some very casual playgroups may allow them, but they aren’t allowed in any sort of sanctioned, competitive play.
Is that so? Maybe I misunderstood something I was told years ago. Someone told me that valuable cards are never played and that you just labeled a different card as a stand in. If that’s not true, that makes sense. You can see why I would have been shocked.
Yeah, the person who told you that was mistaken lol. That or they were referring to their personal playgroup’s custom. But proxies (even stand-in proxies) are completely disallowed, even at regular REL (which is the lowest level of competitive play). I agree that it would be very weird if it were true!
I feel like deck protectors sleeves can damage the back of cards and that what gets damage first when you play with them, maybe beacuse the back is stronger then the front so you can pick it up and easier to play with. Kmc sleeves perfect fit seem to protect the back for me, I guess the softer kmc perfect fit sleeve is protecting it from the back of deck protectors sleeve. But still alot of ppl don’t like kmc perfect fits saying it can damage cards in other ways
