The corners always had very bad whitening around the entire corner. At one point I had around 25 (sold them all) and they all had the same whitening. Gary had a lot more and they had the same issue. There is no PSA 10, and likely never will be.
Nightmare fuel that is Rev.holo Charizard 19/113 from BW Legendary Treasures, (or so i want to remember can be another chard but its BW era rev.holo for sure) pop in psa 10 was last i checked less then 10.
Well on this note, I guess we need to add a bunch of cards. No rarity raichu/venusaur, wb inverted error cards, no damage ninetales, Iām guessing thereās a lot of error cards I donāt know if PSA grades or not.
On a more serious note, any of those japanese promo cards that you had to peel away from a packaging background. That list could be sizeable. Super cool topic.
While this may be true, there may never be another 10 ever again if they truly come only from the theme decks due to the glue strip damage. Definitely up there with the hardest cards to grade of all time at this point.
@cullers, To be honest, I donāt really know if I could point out any overall consistent issues apart from holo bleeding. The cards that Iāve bought over the years all look great but just have minor wear issues that are keeping me from wanting to grade them. I have noticed that holo bleeding is really common. My 8 in the picture has a pretty noticeable holo bleed but that one is off centered too. Half of the others that I have raw also have a faint holo bleed as well but are also well centered. I still donāt know exactly how strict psa is when it comes to factoring in holo bleeds.
Plenty of Unlimited cards. Neo Discovery Smeargle comes to mind immediately, pretty hard to grade in 1st ed, but a nightmare in unlimited. Printlines, offcentering and the fact the neo discovery holos are last in packs don“t help either.
@swolepoke, good to know! I didnāt know the card originally came in a tin. I knew that there was a non-holo version of the card that must have came out of the pop series packs. I always thought that it came out of the packs too.
Currently sitting at pop 12, I wish you luck! For some reason, the glossy Mew, Mewtwo, and Super Energy Retrieval have terrible edging issues straight out of the package. I know they are reprints from the WHF, but itās like the sheets they were pulling them of off were the worst print quality.
100%, I canāt tell you how many listings I have bought were its described as āmintā but its such a slight thing that I know instant 8 or 9.
My question though, is there a difference between the fan book promo and this card. There is one ten of the fan book, so is there some other title that these are all hiding under? Ebirdman who owns it says he canāt find anything that is different between the two.
Also donāt even get me started on the computer error other non-holo trainer card from cd promo set, same thing!
I will grade one of these in a 10 haha, probably have some 30-40 mint (hopefully) copies coming in the next few days.
Didnāt you have a WTB thread for months where you offered like 200 bucks for a PSA 10? Nice to see you taking matters into your own hands now! Good luck and keep us updated!
yes sir! about to offer $500 for two of them each as I am almost done with two complete sets with a sealed case. If I can just get the energy retrieval and the computer error id have one of the few complete sets out there. There was one that sold years ago, all 11 cards graded in 10ās, with a sealed box of for like $900 lol.
I ended up settling for a 9 on the computer error, the cost of opening the CD bundles is getting a little too steep these days and like you said all the listings where people say āmintā, either have centering issues or edge wear.
