I think its because its stage 2 starters are cute, stage 3 starters generally look “cool” and the middle starters need to be in between those so theyre not quite cute and not quite “cool” looking.

Grovyle is the best followed by Ivysaur then Bayleef is okay. The rest are genuinely dreadful

yup they lack something. (while quilladin lacks everything i am not gonna talk about it). Even it’s for ivysaur it’s color scheme goes awesome but the concept is actually basic. But for it’s luck most of it’s competitors are dreadful. Even for me grovyle is the best of crew but i may keep bayleef over ivysaur.

Grovyle gets 10x cooler when you watch the anime (past the original series)!
