I thought you may give another tough choice to me but this time you shown pity on me . Coming to the results yes grovyle avenged treecko loss, after bulbasaur won on treecko in grass finals grovyle fought hard and took the edge on ivysaur to finally take the crown of best grass middle stage starter and the first title to the hoenn. (Mudkip should be the first but it went in some unfortunate circumstances ). So finally apart from gen 1 and gen 2 we have a winner from another generation. Let this be continued in fire and water middle stage starters too.
I am actually satisfied with actual positions because my personal list is also very similar with only minute change
My personal list:
Grovyle>Bayleef>Ivysaur>Grotle>Dartrix>Servine>Floragato>Thwackey>Quilladin
Yup ivysaur is not that impressive. Bulbasaur is definitely a perfect starter but ivysaur is completely average except for it’s color scheme. Either it may be the color or the nostalgia that gave ivysaur these many votes. Anyway at finally best one won.
Meh I wish it would have been Lettuce Junior for 1st. I like Secptile but Grovyle just doesn’t hit it for me. I can I think when I look at it is a plucked Archaeopteryx. It ok but not fist for me.

fire base forms 1. Cyndaquil 2. Torchic 3. Charmander
water base forms 1. Totodile 2. Squirtle 3. Mudkip
grass middle forms 1. Grovyle 2. Ivysaur 3. Bayleef
gen 1-3 are never in the bottom half till date, will any of them be in future should see.

Yup greninja can fight up, so it’s middle evolution. Dewott is better one too. Torterra is the best grass final one IMO but let’s wait for the day. And torracat and incineroar are complete opposites one being the greatest mid evo and other being a lame excuse to make an animal pokemon humanoid.
Sinnoh and Alola are tough fighters for top 3 gens time to time and I hope from here on they also get what they deserve.
Agreed Greninja definitely punches above its weight, and Dewott is a solid mid evo too. I’m with you on Torterra, and yeah Torracat deserved better than that final form
As mentioned before, I personally like Ivysaur more than both Bulbasaur and Venusaur, and it was actually a difficult decision voting off Bayleef for third place, with Ivysaur second. I almost wanted to vote them shared 2nd/3rd place.
Ivysaur vs Grovyle for 1st place being this close however really surprised me. I agree with @A.P.Speeze, that Grovyle is the best middle evolution of all starters (even if it is bipedal, which generally is disliked with most Pokémon).
When I voted and saw the exact 50%-50% split, I had already prepared these two gifs:

But I’m glad I didn’t have to use them after all.
Here would be my order this time, basically the same except for one adjacent swap, surprisingly enough:
Quilladin < Thwackey < Servine < Floragato < Dartrix < Grotle < Bayleef < Ivysaur < Grovyle.
