Hello guys and welcome back to main competition. And yesss!! Torterra survived the tie breaker. It reached top 3 and become the first ever sinnoh representative in top 3. Also the tie breaker is the one which got highest no. of votes in entire polling till date making it 67 votes.
The rise in vote count is making me happy as the community of these polls is growing day by day.
So sceptile took the 4th place after hard fight but now one need to settle for bronze in all the quadrapels, can I save torterra another day and send it to finals making first ever non top 3 gens pokemon in finals? Today’s votes would decide it..
Ok, now I can say it. Torterra’s asymmetric design is very unique and cool. Only Fukuda has ever managed to capture him in all his magnificence, the tree is the difficult part so focusing on his right side is clever.
wait. Is torterra upsetting the balance in the force? Is he…is he going to detrone 2nd place from the first three gen pokemon? Is that…allowed?
A a gen 2 mega lover, it was a very hard thing to vote against meganium. If I saw that absolute emotional manipulation @Taigataipan , I might have abstained from this vote.
I love my flower dinosaur, trust me, I do. But Torterra somehow has one of the biggest glow ups from its awkward middle evo and its a cool little bonzai garden. Nothing about this gets easy the further the votes go.
But notice this, the pokemon with the strongest plant motifs have done the best. The more abstracted from plants, the worse they did in general.
