These have the same bridge in the background:
That Gurdurr is also part of another artwork set. Not necessary a connected artwork or same background one, but the Timburr with wooden bridge, Gurdurr with metal bridge, and Conkeldurr with stone bridge still form a trio imo:
Also, Plasma Storm has a lot of artworks on or near the same Team Plasma ship, with the same wooden crates with Team Plasma logo:
Although I guess this last one could be said for a lot of sets with actual themes.

I don’t know if this is actually connecting, but I was going through Phantasmal Flames and I noticed there was a theme of Pokemon following signs and going down alleys which I think are leading to the Battle Cage? There’s also Toxtricity and Charcadet watching the show.

Never noticed it before, but I think the EX Dragon (50/97) Bagon and (19/97) Salamence are in the same cave:
They have the same stalactite + stalagmite columns/pillars in the background, and based on the colors, the waterfall next to Salamence can also be seen in the back of the Bagon artwork (both drawn by Kouki Saitou).

I like to think they are at Meteor Falls, which is where you can find Bagon in Pokémon Emerald.
The background of Bagon is what i would imagine the ledges on the bottom left would look like with more texture, and there are are also plenty of stairs, waterfalls, stalactite + stalagmite columns/pillars around the same area too.

Think these belong here and wondering if anyone has come across any more?
Essentially cards that have been revisited later by artists, so ‘connect’ as a different or future perspective.
Also, would include the tag team legendary birds and then the Ekans, hoothoot and dwebble in the various Sun & Moon sets here too.

AMAZING THREAD. I couldn’t find any good info on connecting cards besides a Bulbapedia post that had a fraction of what’s here.
Here’s my contribution, Wigglytuff 105/94, learned about it from a vendor who has a binder full of them!
Does anyone else know about other cards besides these that connect to themselves? I want to get some! (I added two rows of the WigglyT because he had every page filled but it more-so connects horizontally)

Ooo, I recently found out that the lore of Poltchageist states that ‘It sprinkles some of its powdery body onto food and drains the life-force from those who so much as lick it’
What if the young boy in the first card met with a rather fateful end due to coming in touch with Poltchageist green liquid.
The Sinistcha card is a detective (gloves, maybe a tie) who is trying to investigate what happened to the boy? That is why the photo album has trails of green liquid everywhere. And Sinistcha is also kind of hiding or lurking out of sight.
