I do not like Legend cards as connected artwork even tho they are connecting, they are amazing, but because they are ,intended connection artwork’’ (yea yea I know I have some issues…)
But looking at the new stadium cards, I must have it for sure (mainly because I do not need to rotate the cards 90 degrees to enjoy the art :D)

Actually I’d like to credit Gareth48 because he was the user that found the background used for cards.
He has been documenting these type of backgrounds and he’s doing an amazing work!!!

Honestly more reason why modellers and stock art cannot be considered anywhere near the actual artists working today.
There is also this unown using the same background that i have not seen documented anywhere as well as the great ball, i’m pretty sure there is more from what i remember but can’t think of the specific cards at the moment
I’m not familiar with Gareth’s work, but if I remember correctly, a lot of this research started gaining traction after a tweet was shared (by someone else that made the discovery) in this thread back in 2021:
Around that time, quite a few people started digging through stock images and hunting for these backgrounds independently (myself included).
Over the years, many of these backgrounds had already been shared across different communities, including some posted here on Efour first. Documenting them is valuable work, but it’s also worth recognizing that this has been a broader community effort with multiple people contributing discoveries over the years.
There’s also a large database here for people interested in matching backgrounds, though back in 2021, many of the backgrounds were not yet discovered.
P.S There are also a few more by the illustrator Nakaoka, that use Sozaijiten Material - Afaik, I haven’t seen anyone document or take credit for those yet, although I’m not really part of that community, so I can’t say for certain. These are just ones i remember finding
