Error* shadowless Charizard! Never seen before

Just got my shadowless Charizard back from psa. Tried the Facebook groups and lcs but can’t get any info on this card.

Looks like a holo bleed error, has anyone encountered a card like this before?
The pattern is over the entire front of the card, not on zard himself.

Hi Danny, Welcome to e4. What you are trying to showcase isn’t coming up well on the photos. If you are referring to the holo pattern bleeding through the card, it’s not particularly unusual for Base Set.

You have a normal, moderately played, shadowless Charizard there. This would not be an error. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Looks like someone ran over it with a bike

It’s the “pattern” on the holo. I’m also unconvinced that damage can’t explain the effect.

The first photo shows the odd pattern really well. It’s all over the text as well but I’d have to get a better pic to show that.

But I own a ridiculously amount of vintage slabs and raw cards, I’ve never encountered one like this.

Looks wilder in person, I’ll try to get a better pic of the text on the card because the same pattern is all over the card except on zard. Almost looks like celebration zard

@pfm I saw the pattern and assumed it was damage. The card is a PSA 4, which seems a bit low unless there is a crease somewhere or the pitting pattern is indeed damage.

3x small crease/dents on the back of the card

Is it possible that the card was water damaged? Or that pattern is the residue of a substance?

That’s what I’d like to find out. I’ve never seen a water damaged card look like this. What throws me off from that is the fact that Charizard himself looks clean.

Send it to CGC and see what they say. I’m guessing it’ll be classified as damage, whatever caused it.
