I’ve had this V39 for years with W10. It’s always been a bit temperamental. But that’s OK, I only ask it to scan 8.5x11s into PDFs. I recently switched PCs to W11. I went to the Epson Support page, and downloaded and installed the W11 drivers. But the desktop ‘scan’ function says the scanner’s not connected (which it is). If I use the blue button on the scanner itself, it’ll scan 2-3 times and produce appx 2"x2" sections of the page.

My brain thought he was talking about Espeon. I thought what is a Perfection V39? I never heard of this set.

I sometimes have this issue with my V550 on W11. All I have to do is reset my scanner with it plugged into my computer. If I reset it without it plugged into my computer it will continue to give me problems, hope that helps!
Sellers commonly use scanners such as this one for getting pictures of cards for listings.
Everything I know about Epson scanners is from E4.
I’ve got a v37 that works great on W11, not sure if they use the same drivers and software though. Same goes for my v600
We show up in google results for epson scanners because there are a few threads about it
I use an Epson V600. 10/10 can’t recommend it enough.
PS: I too thought that this was about Espeon at first.
What’s the best scanner to get? I realized mine doesn’t work with slabs.
My v37 doesnt work that well with the newer windows either. But the trick with turning off and resetting mentioned above works for me
