As someone who plays mostly just when I have a spare minute, the ability to play on my phone is a massive upgrade
Android users get to already play PTCGO on their phone

I believe it only works for devices considered tablets. At least on my end I wasn’t able to play on my Pixel. Either way it makes it a little more accessible at least, haha.
All good points. Generally, I look at an organization’s overall actions to determine the likely outcome, and I’d say TPC generally does a good job by it’s game and players, (especially compared to WotC bahaha ). So I’d be hopeful that it will improve vastly, however, < 2 months is not a lot of time. While things might look bad right now, I’d definitely not base any judgements at all off of Twitter, these days…
I remember MtG Arena met similar responses back when,. and it turned out… better in those ways, but worse in others. haha! So, who knows!?
Thanks! I’ve been saving my codes for i think past 2 years but it may be time to let go of them, i doubt i’ll ever play again and even though opening online packs is fun too someone else may get more use for my codes
I think there is a giveaway thread somewhere, or perhaps people just create one when needed…
I always suggest tcg.codes to avoid the usual bots and spammers but they are constantly out since its all based on donations.
Android phone users have always been able to get the app through APKMirror
It’s actually pretty darn nice to play it on mobile, no idea why they never brought it to the app stores on phones
Ah, that’s news to me! Haha, guess it’s too late now! I’ll just say it makes me enjoy Live more since I don’t know what I was missing!
Well, I just realized it’s done. TCGOnline is no more as of Monday June 5, though I haven’t actually tried connecting, and honestly, I think it’s a nice time to let my decks and such go. type F to pay respects. haha It’s been fun TCGOnline.
My old Gengar energy burn deck is gone.
Alakazam ex control deck, MIA
You’ll always have a special place in my heart.

It is a bit sad, I started playing it around 2014 with my brother. We’d buy cheap pack codes online and loved virtually opening up packs together. The whole interface for playing, trading, even browsing cards you own was easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, and enjoyable. I gave ptcg live a chance and it was just gross…

PTCGO is the reason I even became interested in the TCG again. It was super fun making random decks and testing them out. I even qualified for the second Player’s Cup piloting an Eternatus VMAX deck. (But I was busy on the actual day of the tournament, so I couldn’t actually play in it except for one Loser’s bracket round where I immediately misplayed and that was that )
I think I’ll still migrate on over to Live, but from what I’ve seen and heard of it, I probably won’t be opening it up any time soon.
