eBay Limits...What Are Yours

Recently, I was thinking of combining a couple of IDs so I checked my selling limit on my Pokémon account. I was pretty shocked to see the below result.
Numbers like that can be a problem if your account ever gets hacked.

Check to see what your limit is and let us know. Plus, are you surprised?

“You can sell up to 220 items or $4,886.48 per month, whichever comes first”

That’s a weird money limit

$800k limit, 80k items, I don’t sell on eBay anymore though

$1.7 million in a month, did someone buy and quickly pay for your Charizard collection before you could cancel it?

I Googled up and down and cannot seem to find my seller limits anywhere. I never knew I had any. Can anyone give me a link?

Bottom left of your seller dashboard on the Desktop version of the website.

I checked there and everywhere else I could think of. I manually searched each page as well as ctrl+f searched for “limit”. I’m coming up blank every time. Weird.

For me, everything is in “tiles” or sections. Maybe you have a section hidden?

I checked that too @gemmintpokemon. I have all the tiles on my overview and none of them hidden. Next time I have to call them I guess I’ll ask. I’ve never been alerted as having been close to the limits and I am selling less this year than in prior years so I should be safe anyways. I always thought limits were just for newer sellers but seeing that Gary has one and just thinking about it, it makes sense that everyone would have some kind of limit.

Can you find one on your account @thecharizardauthorty?

Do you have to have an eBay store to see the limits?

Mine is:

You can sell up to 320 items or up to $8,100.00 per month, whichever comes first.

I don’t sell much on ebay, mostly on Cardmarket.

Likewise with myself, nothing I can find.

www.ebay.com/sh/ovw

Your limits should be on that page.

Mine is 120k items and $900k. I had to have it increased last year to that to list my box set haha - I had to go through a long interview. I used to have a guy work for me that has very little sales but had a $10M limit - it was nuts. I am not sure how they come to their numbers for that

When they set the limits up I remember they put mine at $500k which put me ON the limit. I had to stop listing product for a little bit and when I was going to increase, they started removing my listings for another reason. They were listed as multi-variation type listings. I had over 10k unique items and 4 years of sales. They were removed because of the category “Toys and Hobbies → wholesale” or something close to that. That was an incorrect category for Pokemon, even though it was a representative that instructed me how to list this way. I almost quit selling that day as I had to literally start over by ending every single listing in my store.

As far as I know multi-variation listings are still not available in the US for Pokemon categories - only for Pokemon on other ebay sites like ebay UK. There are some up online now - but they are at risk of being removed due to mis-categorization(usually in crafts). Here is an example of one in cameras: www.ebay.com/itm/Neo-Destiny-Pokemon-Card-105-NM-Buy2-Get1-Free-Rare-Uncommon-Common-Trainer/382457858622?hash=item590c43ca3e:m:mXCSu2IKe3RKtaRHYpTqFKQ:rk:2:pf:0&LH_BIN=1

@garyis2000 , anything worth noting, cardwise, in the 1.7Million in sales you did this month? That’s a nice lil chunk of coin!

click selling, seller overview and scroll down to the bottom and it should be there

That should include all active listings online as well - not just sold. If he did 1.7 Mil in sales in a month that would be incredible!

7,612 quantity listed and sold / 114,000 limit on quantity of items

$19,435.70 listed and sold / $750,000.00 monetary limit

I really don’t understand those eBay Limits… Sure, when you’re a new eBay Seller they’re GREAT! It limits the amount of items you’re able to list / sell (within reason) until you’re able to build-up a positive reputation (another safe-guard to further prevent scammers). However, when you become a long-time active eBay Seller, the eBay Limits get to be a bit ridiculous - not sure why. I am currently FAR BELOW my eBay Limits - and have been for the longest-time. However, they keep increasing my limit every once in awhile despite me never even coming close to reaching said limit. It’s a slow, incremental growth - nothing crazy like it used to be (remember getting excited for my limits being doubled so I can list more items).

That SUCKS!!!

You must have been so pissed after hearing that kinda news! I actually remember viewing those listings within your eBay Store and thinking to myself on how great of an idea that was - be able to list all of the C. or Un. Cards from a certain set within one listing. I came close to following your set-up; however, opted not to because I wasn’t really sure about the traffic - as you had to place those listings within a different eBay Category.
