Even though i’m super tired of seeing new cards of charizard i have to agree that the design is great and the peak cards are extremely good. Top 5 is an easy one for me:

I think I voted for like 80% of these cards. Sorry, I just love Charizard. There are so many amazing cards. Dark Charizard is my fav card of all time, so knowing it probably won’t win overall hurts a bit.

I really wanted this to be tough… But, it wasn´t. If you ever were lucky enough to unpack a Base Set Charizard from a Base Set boosterpack, then that´s the ultimate Pokémoncard.

Agreed. Although I don´t like M Charizard Y a lot either. It´s basically Charizard but worse. The X variant was a big hit.

that charizard vmax, man it’s a shame the psa pop is so high because it makes this card less iconic
but damn I must say that artwork is amazing
I voted for the V from the UPC. I love the chill zard with the fires and Venusaur looking stout n the background.

I’m a big fan of Mega Charizard Y, both design wise and as a gladiator. Mega Charizard X is ok, maybe a little too fan-servicey for my taste, but the shiny version is very green.

I don’t quite see how pop has something to do with artwork being good or bad, besides base zard is one of the most graded cards and i don’t see people whining that it has too big pop to be iconic. Everyone collects in a way the like it but it feels a bit artificial if the print size or pop takes something away from the artwork, i think it’s great that they released a card this beautiful in a way more people could enjoy it which rather makes it more iconic imo. But yes, it sure is an amazing artwork, one of the best modern cards!

I think its one of the top 5 zard artworks ever, but I’m not in a rush to buy one as its literally a couple of dollars and I can grab it anytime. There are 17,655 psa10s,
you simply cant compare this to base zard which has a tiny fraction of this comparatively
part of what makes a card iconic is the chase. Rarity is extremely important in card collecting.
For me it feels special, like said everyone collects in a way they like it so rarity is important for some collectors and for some it means nothing, i rather concentrate on beautiful artwork than artificial numbers like psa pop and i’m perfectly happy collecting that way

I’ve bought my three favorite Charizard cards/artworks a few years back.
Although from newer releases, the Charzard with Venusaur in the background; the Charizard in the arena; and Special Delivery Bidoof are all three pretty cool as well.
That reminds me, I still have to buy that Charizard with Venusaur for my collection…

Wish I had gotten 276 when I got back into collecting. Its still one of my favorite looking charizard cards but the price is a bit much for my non-deck card budget.

Yeah, that’s the one I meant at the bottom of my post, which I still have to pick up. Although I likely go for the Japanese, or another Asian variant. 
As for the price I paid for my Shadowless Charizard, I’ve looked back and it was apparently 435 USD + 35 shipping back in Feb./Mar. 2021 (it’s in played condition btw, but mostly at the back, so overall a nice binder copy 
).
I understand the feeling. It’s also the reason why I bought these three Charizard near the start of 2021 to begin with, since prices kept increasing and soon I wouldn’t have been able to justify buying them at all (for something outside of my collection goals).
