I’ll be one of those who defies waiting for xmas! I have to travel to the fam in a couple days so it couldn’t have come at a better time — I got no choice I tell ye!
Time flies and it’s hard to believe I’ve been on this forum for over 5 years now, so it is really nice to see name that I’ve known for a long time and who I’ve talked to for years. Got me not just a vet, but one who’s collection and posts I’ve long admired for many years! Someone dare I say shares many sensibilities with me! Another amazing year I feel extremely lucky and know the person.

First, the headliner.

lamp curated everything to that elegant touch — he knows me well. I laughed out loud in excitement at the coasters. Didn’t know they exist but I assure you they will get plenty of play. The mug needs to go on my desk so I can look at it every day. If I had an execute suite this would go there for all my employees to drink in every time they came in. The pory sleeves… again, no idea they existed and I just love them so much. I actually know what I’m sleeving my next mtg deck with (since I don’t play pokemon ha!). One of my favorites is the pory plush. Just never been much of a plush guy but damnit you are converting me. I think it’s just the cutest ornament ever and that’ll be sure to hangout in the bedroom and who knows, maybe in my future kid’s crib.
And of course the packs. The present already is extremely generous. Really, you did too much my friend. To include so many packs? Wild. When I did my first secret santa I hadn’t yet been keen on modern. But now I am so I enjoy opening them. Despite the ugly modern odds (ha!). And boy do those odds kill! But on the 2nd to last pack we got ourselves a full art. Phew, that was close.
I’m so glad they brought the reverse holo style to some american sets that you see on the bulbasaur. Used to be japanese only. It looks so good. Also got some banger commons ready to be put in the artist binder. That Tangela is sick as hell. And those pokeball reverses have gloss which is super interesting for US modern.
Oh geez the slow cards too! I didn’t have any of these as reverses for the binders! I for some reason mostly only did the slow collection graded in the beginning and now I don’t do too much of that anymore as I was always a binder collector for nearly everything. Now it’ll be nice to add those reverses to the binder!
