Can’t wait to use Mega Hawlucha
hi!
Just played my games with @BANKS and it was extremely close. I ended up winning 2 - 1
I thought i had lost multiple time in game 2 and 3 but i ended up being able to predict your switches which was the edge. ( @BANKS Your snatch z move play was very good)
G1: [Gen 7] VGC 2018: shakeybanks vs. tryson69 - Replays - Pokémon Showdown!
G2: [Gen 7] VGC 2018: tryson69 vs. shakeybanks - Replays - Pokémon Showdown!
G3: [Gen 7] VGC 2018: shakeybanks vs. tryson69 - Replays - Pokémon Showdown!
ggs!!
Thank you, that’s the seasoned player diff. I had a good breakout play, but you were able to make good decisions consistently. Well played Tryson!
Yeah you suprised me by how well you were playing, where i couldnt just make simple reads.
i had to predict your predictions.
Just played my match with @ddk
I was able to win 2-1. Well looks like I got really lucky there. that game 2 i definitely did not deserve the game. I was not playing very well, and he was playing out of his mind. Sadly rng is a thing in this game.
G1: [Gen 7] VGC 2018: tryson69 vs. don_don_kun - Replays - Pokémon Showdown!
G2: [Gen 7] VGC 2018: tryson69 vs. don_don_kun - Replays - Pokémon Showdown!

ggs!
Little Cup VGC 2018
Like Singles, Little Cup has been extended to Top 7 for a larger bracket.
@BANKS vs @mrbubbles > Winner faces @Caterqu
*For those wondering, I’m dropping out of Little Cup and won’t be competing in future VGC tournaments
Rough set of games to watch, but as stated many times here- RNG is a part of the game, and playing to your outs is entirely viable in bracket. I’ve been RS flinched 5 times in a game, and frozen 3 times in a single turn it’s not fun but it happens.
Would have loved to have seen game 3 played out but I get the tilt.
@bule and @DarthEevee would love to know when you guys are playing as I’m all ready to go down in losers.
We just confirmed today - Tuesday 830-9a central
I’m not gonna comment too much on that set. I’m satisfied with my play in the first two games and know I was playing better, but the better player doesn’t always win.
Tryson gave me the option of replaying game 3 but I declined because I felt he had the download then and it would set a bad precedent for the tournaments going forward.
With that said, losing to 10% para into 25% full para (2.5% total) when you played nearly flawlessly and your opponent wasn’t comfortable with his team, plays and was just going through the motions feels awful. I need a long break from VGC after that as I think I am too emotionally invested in what is supposed to be a fun and relaxing tournament. Some of the other participants have mentioned feeling tournament burnout as well, so I’ve decided to give everyone a break after this one and wait until next year (Jan/Feb) for Gen 8.
Thank you for the games @mrbubbles! Results: 2-0 for me

for a relatively small tournament series, we have surely seen a lot of crazy stuff!
