Edit: Also, in case anyoneâs wondering, if you have 2 submissions and only finish 1, youâre still in the lineup for your submission as long as itâs submitted in time. Thereâs no requirement to finish both of your submissions for either to count. Only 1 is needed.

One is done and Iâll try to finish the second one today or tomorrow. The bigger problem will probably be that I donât have access to a scanner before Monday. Until then, a photograph of my paintings will have to do.

@muk - if you get the painting completed at the very least and the scan doesnât show any alterations from the photo you submit tomorrow, we MIGHT be able to allow a scanned in image the Monday after. Iâll talk it over with the others and see what we agree to. Realistically weâll say that the photograph is your official submission but if we make a collective exception, weâll let you know.

I usually donât work with color but as I personally feel most connected to Sugimoriâs artwork I felt taking out my watercolors again was the right thing to do. Sadly my photography skills are not exactly âon pointâ so I had a hard time getting it somewhat true to itâs real colors. Looking back at it, I shouldâve probably done it a bit bigger to still look good on larger screens. Itâs real size is 10x7cm (double card size). Also realised my dimensions arenât exactly correct, which I only noticed as I had to crop.

Just wanna say I am astounded at the beauty of everyoneâs submissions. I am truly head over heels in love with E4âs work! Amazing!!
@qwachansey , you signed up for 3D and Child, so since that isnât 3D, weâll go child?? haha.
And @moredoom , 10cm wide is plenty big enoughâall you need to do is take a picture closer up to it, and it will expand the size you can upload here a lot (just be sure not to compress when uploading). Just get really close with your phone/tablet camera up to the point that the painting is taking up the whole frame of your camera preview (make sure lens is clean). And try either a bright direct light, or flash on your camera which emits âdaylightâ color temperature. That is how you will show the true colors. I will upload what you gave now, but really hope you can get a bigger one uploaded for E4 to enjoy the phenomenal work that you have done.
Here is an example of a 10x7cm doodle that I uploaded doing that. Keep in mind youâll have an even better lighting if you get more room light on it. My picture was taken in dull light but with flash on. So if you get it under a bright lamp, or even better, hold up a âdaylightâ (5200k bulb) flashlight up to it, you will get the best result. But I just want everyone (myself included) to see it bigger!

Never done this medium before so Iâm happy that I was able to get the supplies with enough time to watch a beginners youtube video and still get it to turn out. Fun stuff but sorry if the sizing is wrong, was rushing a bit.
My Original submission:
Lugia & Rayquaza Tag Team GX
I ran out of time to card frame it but if it were a card, itâd have attacks Thunderbolt and Hurricane (Both pokemon can use both moves so they work well together) with the new Tag team GX attack being called Furious Maelstrom. I wanted to use Legendaries that had matching qualities that would also work in a matching environment, figured these two would make a really cool duo if it was a real card.

In (what is in my opinion) the spirit of childlike, I limited myself to one attempt (no new sheets of paper). Crayon on 8.5x11 white printer paper. Scanned.

Here it is, I know my picture doesnât fit within the parameters. I was doing sketch work, and eventually got positioning of the pokemon and the perspective that I was happy with and didnât want to change them⌠So I just stuck with what I had and went along with the incorrect dimensions. I donât intend to win anything, but wanted to share what I completed either way.
Original Creation : âKyogreâs Lamentâ
I had much bigger plans for it, maybe next time I will have practiced with digital to truly have greater depth to the picture. Sadly time didnât allow, so this is all I could manage. That being said, I am super proud of this. Having rarely utilized my art abilities, Iâm very happy with the finished product, and I had a blast working on it! I learned a lot about prospective and stuff from my artist friend while working through this, so I definitely leveled up my general abilities. Will definitely try to compete next year as well.
Recreation Category (Did not have time to complete, so here is an old thing I did) : Fiery FriendsâŚand Mewtwo
Itâs cool if this doesnât count in the recreation category. I did this for the Secret Santa event. I did not have time to complete a new recreation, let alone choose something that I wanted to do. This is a recreation of multiple artworks conglomerated together.
