We truly have some extremely talented (in cognito) artists here, just astonishing how creativity can flow so freely! Very unique styles across the board. The original category was BY FAR the most diverse of this contest, the main event if you will, and the toughest to judge. Thanks for all the effort you put into organizing this contest and thanks to all the contestants for blessing us with your creations!

Well, it looks like @millsfan was “Last Online: Apr 16, 2021” and @pancakestak "Last Online: Apr 18, 2021". Isn’t there anything else we could do instead of waiting for them to log in in a few days eventually?
I understand that they might have received points from other contestants and did not give any back in return. But is that really that important in the grand scheme of things?
I’ll go out on a limb and say that they probably just didn’t know that they had to vote. Maybe you can just let that slide this year? And next year make it very clear that all contestants are also obliged to vote.
Just my opinion though, it’s your contest after all.

The results are in!!! And we have checked them thrice. Before we announce, a few words…
This event has been such a joy, such a fulfilling spectacle, words really cannot achieve the expression.
There is no greater testament to the reality that every single artwork was loved and appreciated than the fact that the scores were so unbelievably close. In a couple categories, and I kid you not, the scores for an upwards of 5+ pieces were in the running for 1st place up to the last few ballots. I was on the edge of my seat. It was anybody’s game. That is saying a lot.
I want to say, a personal satisfaction fulfilled is that I had hoped to see many great artworks that I could envision as cards. And that has indeed been realized, everyone. In fact, it went well above my wildest dreams, and I’m certain I’m speaking not just for myself here. (Hell, the Pokemon company themselves, surely, would love to see this thread of E4’s brilliant art contributions to the Pokemon they love).
What an amazing time. What an incredible event! You all brought such unique offerings to the table, and it’s been an immense pleasure seeing it unfold. We will certainly be doing a contest next year!!! It is too good not to!
P.S. Everyone please sing praise to the excellence of these fine artists. I’m beyond amazed. Much of the work here belongs in museums, on official cards… I can’t stress enough how thrilling the work is. Feel very welcome to continue to post here after winners are announced and what you like about certain works if you feel inclined to do so.
