For example, a base set booster box is $21k for an average of $583 per pack.
Would the Costo blister that has 10 booster inside be valued around $5830, or does the rarity of the blister give it some extra value? Seems like the lowest listed on ebay is $11k.
I know with modern product this rule doesn’t really apply across price per pack on bundles/ETBs/booster boxes.
The real answer is it’s whatever people are willing to pay. If you can sell that a blister or misc collection box is rare/scarce to a buyer, you can charge way over the box pack ratio since they don’t publicly sell often
Typically the price per pack is higher when you’re buying less packs because there are more people that can afford a single pack vs an entire booster box
I’ve found three pack blisters from the ex era carry a strong premium. It’s a good way to get unweighed packs without having to buy a box. Similar with tins.
I would say that the rarity of the blister and the potential for packs to be unweighed adds extra value. If it was opened and the packs were searched/weighed, then I would only pay the sum of the pack values.
think this ignores the “booster box premium” that the investor bros adhere to since the booster box is their favorite sealed product (eg. you will pay far more per pack basis for a booster box vs 36 loose packs or blister pack products). you can extend this further to a case pack (eg. ppl are paying more for a case of evolving skies vs 6 booster boxes)
that costco pack is super rare though doubt you’ll be able to get anyone to move below like 10k on it, they are valuing the entire thing as its own product rather than whatever comes inside of it
Loose packs could be weighed and that affects the value.
Booster boxes are worth more opened than sealed, which is the only way box breaks can happen. Many more people can spend $1000 for an unweighed pack than $30k for a booster box
