Helpful Considerations may or may not help some people focus their answer, these are blurred to not bother those who have their own ideas.
Personally I like seeing new cards for all Pokemon. It’s so easy to insert them into common or uncommon slots so I wish they would print more baby Pokemon and Ultra Beasts. Any mon that doesn’t have many cards really.
luckily i havent seen a card for this guy in forever, hoping it stays that way. reminds me of my alcoholic uncle who i dont wanna talk about please dont ask me about uncle herbert
Since every Pokémon is someones favourite I cannot really say I don’t want to see them stopping to print any.
But…
I would really like to see them printing less Gardevoir, less Lucario, less Charizard and less Eevee. And with less, I mean lets go a whole series without any of them. Like the whole first 8 sets of the next generation going without any card of them.
I know TPC won’t ever do that because they are the money maker cards… but please. Let other Pokémon shiny!
Imagine Golduck and Roselia being a set mascot with golden chase card. Bad for sales maybe, but good for conversation.

I almost want to say Pikachu, in which case I would try collecting all languages after the 25th Pokémon Day again. But at the same time, I’m already out of money rn, and if everyone knows no more Pikachu will ever be printed anymore, their prices will spike immensely very fast for sure in this market..
So yeah.. I stick with my original answer: none. All Pokémon deserve cards.
I honestly wish they’d print all Pokémon much more evenly tbh. Not only will species collectors of Pokémon without new cards for literal years be happy; but at the same time, it might actually reduce the amount of chase cards in sets and therefore decrease market prices. Win-win if you’d ask me. Only disadvantage is likely that the few chase cards they do release would be even more expensive than they already are rn..
A few years ago I would’ve said Audino. It was confirmed by Sugimori to be a knockoff of Chansey & intended to replace her. But this attempt failed and now Chansey is more popular than ever. If anything, the juxtaposition of a beautifully designed Pokemon like Chansey next to fetal alcohol syndrome Audino, makes clear how great Chansey is. So by all means keep printing ugly Audino cards.
Seventeen years ago, I also would’ve said Blissey & Happiny. Since the introduction of Blissey, with the exception of Chansey ex, Chansey was downgraded from a holo in Base set to a common/uncommon in most sets. I resented Blissey for taking the spotlight off Chansey and getting a new ex (Unseen Forces) and Prime card that should’ve gone to Chansey.
Then, Blissey V was revealed. At first I was even more furious - being a V meant there was no Chansey needed in the set. BUT there was hope for a special art that could include Chansey. I had a sixth sense this would happen despite everyone calling me crazy.
Since then we’ve gotten THREE new holo Chanseys - Creatures Deck, Classic Collection, and 151. It’s an amazing time. I feel lucky! I no longer have any animosity in my heart towards Blissey or Happiny and have grown as a person. In fact I’m eager for a new Happiny card.
the pan/simi monkey trio honestly. Just very uninspired, meant to pad out the pokedex for gen 5. Even garbodor, my biggest opp, has more soul than these things and was given thought when being designed.
I think their real purpose was to teach the player about type matchups since the first gym in Black and White use the monkey who is strong against the starter you chose.
Still, I agree that they are one of the weaker designs. What’s funny is that we already had a (much better) fire monkey with Chimchar and they proceeded to make another grass monkey with Grookey. Does that indicate we’ll get another water monkey at some point?
type match ups, what you mean like the 3 starter pokemon? I don’t buy it, never did. They squeezed 6 pokedex slots out of one design. The goal was to create a new region where only new pokemon showed up in the main game to recreate the feeling of gen 1. They pulled it off, every new route, trainer battle and gym was a thrill to see more new pokemon. But they can’t all be top tier designs. Many are really good though. I remember when I first saw ferroseed and thought it was super clever. Amoongus was an awesome electrode homage too. But then we get simi mons…And of course gen 5 got infamously dunked on for the less exciting designs or the non-animal ones. I still maintain that the vanillite line is well designed and awesome.
Would it sound petty if I said galarian zigzagoon because I collect hoenn ziggy I’m joking (Maybe) but dang it hurts to see G. ziggy in 5 years of existing already get a play pokemon stamped card, a championship stamp, A special indonesian store stamp promo, being included in the celebration card and of course getting a shiny card
Meanwhile hoenn zigzagoon in all 22 years of it existing has gotten… 1 promo… 10 years ago Im just saying if they stopped printed G. Ziggy until H. Ziggy got full art I would be very happy
