Chef's Eevee Collection - Binder Update

Ahem, time to drop my usual instructions when someone asks that question on Reddit below:

  1. Go to the Bulbapedia [Name of Pokémon] (TCG) article to get a list of all cards of a Pokémon
  2. Go to the article of each card to see if there are additional promo or deck releases
  3. Look at the article of the respective expansions / decks / products to figure out which languages they were available in (and if first edition / unlimited and reverses exist)
  4. On the card articles now aditionally go to tools and use “what links here” to see the Korean/Thai/Indonesian/T-Chinese/S-Chinese exclusive sets and decks the card might be in (their articles are the ones with (ATCG), (KTCG) etc. at the end)
  5. For recent Simplified Chinese sets which Bulbapedia might have not covered yet, use the setlists on the Pokipair website instead.
  6. For EX era serial code variants check against this spreadsheet for international and this spreadsheet for Japanese / Korean cards.
  7. Do further research for example on Pokumon
  8. For cameos have a look here and then repeat the other steps for those cards as well.

@wishfulthinking @Remcoudb Thank you both for the kind words  Species collecting of all languages can be a big commitment but I find it to be the the most enjoyable method of collecting, especially in today’s environment.

It has also connected me with other dedicated species collectors throughout the world, some of whom I’m even lucky to call friends. I wish you both luck with your collections and I hope you enjoy species collecting as much as I do!

Hi all! I’m incredibly happy to share that I’ve reached my goal for 2025: Collecting 75% of all Eevee cards released across all languages (not including jumbos). In related news, I’ve also collected 1000 unique Eevee cards across all languages!

Below is a snapshot of the progress I’ve made since my last tracker update in March.

I’m finally caught up on English again, and I’ve made some pretty significant strides in a few languages, especially German, French, and Korean. While there were small decreases in completion percentage for two languages, you must consider that there were about 60 cards added to the total denominator since my last update, which was after Prismatic had released :face_with_spiral_eyes: so I think I still made it out of the Year of Eevee relatively unscathed

Thanks to the amazing work of @citriina, my tracker updates will look a bit different going forward. I highly recommend checking out Citriina’s spreadsheet templates and tutorials if you’re a fellow species collector. The ability to track ordered cards, owned/ordered counts by illustration, the addition of set code icons and illustrator names, etc. are all fantastic, and I deeply appreciate Citriina sharing these templates with us all to use!

As you can see on the updated tracker, I have 24 cards purchased and waiting to be shipped to the US, with even more purchases in progress as well. All 24 are cards released up to Evolving Skies, which is my main focus at this time, and of which I have 736/890 (82.70%) cards in total.

That’s all I’ve got for now, but there are a few cool cards I’ve purchased over the last few months that I’ll share individually in future posts  As always, thanks for reading!

Thanks so much!!! It is wild, and I really hope the total stays close to 1300 for a while  Excited to see what they all look like in a binder, which is something I’m actively planning as well.

Not sure where the ‘and Belgian’ part in your message comes from? I don’t think the Belgium print run difference at the back @Nightvulture posted was even known in 2023 when you typed that.

You’re right about it for the Australian red logo Jungle cards, though. It’s hard to spot the difference without using flashlights and compare the reflections (or a black-light I guess).

And for the Belgium print run, the missing shadows in the ‘e’ of Pokémon at the back, as posted by @Nightvulture above, differentiates it from the other unlimited edition Jungle print runs.

And huge congrats on the 1k milestone, @chefonaquest. Love that 1000 you’ve made with cards to celebrate it!

Do you know which card marked the exact 1000th Eevee? For my Pikachu collection, I kept track of my 1st, 500th, 1000th, and 1500th Pikachu card:

It’s fun to look back on in the future imo.

Also, huge congrats on English 100% and reaching 75%+ in total, especially since you still have little over two months left for 2025.

Greetz,
Quuador

Wow I completely missed that. I thought it was just highlighting how many cards were there for that artwork :man_facepalming:

Thank you @lex and @Quuador !

To answer your question @Quuador my 1000th card was the Prize Pack 7 Eevee pictured in the “1000” I made out of cards  it’s also the card that got me back to 100% for English.

I love that you’ve kept track of your milestone cards over time btw, that’s such a great idea!

…I may have purposefully chosen the most reprinted Eevee for this picture
