To the post above… There’s a huge difference to what a card is listed for and what it sells for. I could list a card for $1 million on eBay but that doesn’t mean that’s the going rate.
It literally just sold for $25,000/best offer a month ago. Someone will buy this card for $50,000. It might not happen right away, but someone somewhere will pull the trigger on it, and when that happens, the price will continue to increase.
Plus, the seller of the card is very reputable. It’s not just someone who isn’t familiar with the market throwing a price to the wall and hoping it sticks.
I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if this card reaches close to $100,000 by the end of the year, or at least very early in 2018.
You’re welcome to speculate that but as I previously stated what cards are listed on eBay for doesn’t represent what they sell for so your previous statement of them going for 50k remains false.
It did go up almost $20,000 in a year, but I don’t see anyone spending $50,000 on this card. This card didn’t come up for sale for probably a good 8+ months at one point, and when it finally did hit ebay auction there were a lot of people with a lot of money willing to bid whatever to make sure they won the card. Which is another reason why I think it shot up the way it did. After the first one sold a few more were being auctioned by PWCC not long after, probably because owners of the card saw how much the first one sold for and figured it was time to cash in. I think it will level soon at $17,000-$23,000. We can also wait and see what the current one by PWCC goes for on auction as well. In regards to the seller, sure he’s reputable, but I guarantee he’s not expecting the card to sell for the price listed. Having that card just on his page will drive so much traffic to his store where he has tons of other base set psa cards and other stuff listed. I think that’s the main purpose it’s there for $50k. That and just a showoff
This guy has been trying to sell this card for years. I swear his life ambition is to sell the card at twice the market value. When it was worth $5,000 he listed it for $10,000, when it reached the value of $10,000 he relisted it for $25,000. Now when the card is finally worth $25,000 he relists it again for $50,000! Now watch when the card is worth $50,000 he’s going to relist it for $100,000!
I got nothing against this, I just think it’s funny.
People suspect a possible bubble from a $10,000 growth in a couple years, and you think it’ll go to $100,000 in the next 6 months? In my opinion I think the card will keep it’s value and have slow growth that selling fees would eat any profit from, but I congratulate those that already have the card for making a smart purchase.
i think it isntin a bubble and this is why say overall theres going to be 130 of these in psa 10
gary takes away 10 or so another 20 on this forum so down to 110 gemmint has a couple theeres a couple of people getting close or completing psa 10 set of base they all take one so down to around 100 charizard collectors seen a couple of wotc complete psa 10 sets or near complete 10 sets so down to say 90
thats 90 psa 10 charizards left for the rest of the world collectors and investors alike assume investors want to make money which they do everytime an investors buys a charizard say 15k if he comes to sell with postage and fees want to atleast make his money back plus profit so will list it for more than the price they brought it for say if investors brought half and the other half for collectors well if a normal collectors suddly loses his job or needs money he will look at sold lists and list for last selling plus maybe abit more otherwise he will lose out so really they will always now be going for 15000 and upwards
